Not so good Steve[] Best plan of action would be to get someone to have a look at her for you. Trouble is that this is where the money starts to fly out of the wallet. Trying to find a garage that hasn't got horses tied outside isn't so easy theses days. (yee ha) Options would be to either repair the btm end you have or get your hands on a short motor. Either way your going to be upwards of £1700-£2500 by the time parts, labour[:$][6] and VAT are all billed to you. Not sure if Russell (WUZ) will be up for having a look at this when hes back. I know hes got a lot on his plate just now. STI short motors are thin on the ground just now. I was looking for one a few weeks back and results were poor. You need the wire as far as I know. Its present on all the ECUs I think. Im sure it goes into the loom. I would be happier to see it repaired if it was me. Not got any wiring diagrams to hand so I cant even tell you what it earths or where it should go. Get a look at someone elses car if you can
