Might have been Cal?? Oh...sorry....did you say the car was pink? I thought you meant the driver was wearing pink [:S] LOL

Wilkys 22B has selectable 2 and 4WD. Runs of a set of snow tyres and to be fair its not a showroom motor. Has a patch or two of rust and he lost the oil filler cap one day, so its got a bag over it now. Still a handy bit of kit though[]

Callum, I apologise for my comments earlier on in the post. I have sent you an E mail regarding this subject. Chris , I also apologise to you. My comments were obviously taken the wrong way and not in the way I thought you would have. I in no way intended to lecture anyone on their views on any subject. I also didn't intend to manipulate the freedom of speech either. I wont comment further on this topic as I must be out of my depth. I will in future simply browse but not add comment. Hope this has cleared up another " turned sower" thread. Once again I apologise to anyone that has taken offence.

WRC Germany 2006- 9th-14th August places still available
jamie_wood replied to Gumball's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Bargain price for this trip is it not? Once I get a lock on my rotations I will let you know. I would love to do this[6] Not sure if I could keep up with the 150mph+ road sections though[] I might be limited to a top speed of 125 due to gearing if all goes to plan [au] Will Pm you next week if I have more details and places are still available. -
Sounds good

But if this valve is oiled up could it be the cause of the spluttering? Cheers mate Could be, but the tell tail sign of this is normally total cut. But if your keeping your foot down when this happens then that might show the same effects. Well worth a try i would say anyway
-
The AMAL valve is kind of the same idea but the one on your car just now isn't as clever you could say. Im sure that an AMAL valve can control the waste gate. I might be wrong, I would need to look into it. The valve on the scooby just reads pressure and send the info back to the ECU.

Matey You should have the 4 plug ECU 26 pin 16 pin 12 pin 22 pin Hope that helps

Try giving it a clean if you can. Its located on the o/s inner wing. It has a pipe going in the bottom and another in the side. Take the electrical connector and split it before removing the two pipes. Use a 10mm spanner to remove the solenoid from its rubber mounts and then spray in some solvent type de greaser before blowing it through with an airline. Re fit and try it out[]

You been stalking me? I'm in the process[6]

I would say that your looking for a baffled sump if anything. Not sure what your mechanic is meaning by a stronger sump?
-
Aye, I do.. Your choice of pump is fine Regulator is also fine. Drb5 has covered the location on the oil pressure pick up point The oil temperature can be taken from the sump and is easy to do by getting the sump plug drilled and tapped. 1/8th npt normaly. You can either tap the original one or get another one and prepare it so you have less down time.

Cant wait till someone attempts this on a Scooby[][au] Not fancy it Andy

Just had a sneek peek at my mates new steed that should be hitting the roads in the next while. WRC Fiesta sitting on a set of 18" Compomotives with 365mm AP's, Coilovers, Custom made front mount, etc Powering it along is...........the original Diesel lump that it came with. Its going to be his demo vehicle as his line of work is re mapping trucks, vans, cars etc. Keep an eye out for it in the next month or so once its got the rest of the work done. It will be covered in the "VES Sport" grafix[] and it might just give some cars a run for their money[]

AWD si.d.c OPEN DAY DATE sat 22nd April 06
jamie_wood replied to swanie's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Grant is just letting all the guys n' gals on the forum know about the forthcoming open day he organises on a regular basis. I cant think of any other way to let every one know about these events so he is allowed to post up on the forum. He in no way uses the forum to gain individual jobs from club members. AWD support the SIDC by offering the discounts to legitimate SIDC members and Im sure everyone who uses them are happy that they offer this privilege. And on that note, if any of you out there are needing to re new or even join the club then you best do so now so that you can get your discount on the day []
