  1. Thanks Jordan. You say that they are points to look out for on the early RR's. Im looking for an 04 aged car. Are these just the same or were they improved? Im located in Central Scotland. I have the local dealers keeping me informed of any cars that come in meeting my spec. Any good ones that you see, feel free to mail me. Im oversea for the next month or so though, let me know anyway. Thanks
  2. Brian, Why not try and get a Series McRae. The build numbers were limited to 555 of them. The spec is great as std (as Im sure Imy and Grant will vouch) Rememeber and look for the Jap one and not the UK car. The jap one was STI with the DCCD etc. Keep it looking standard and have it as a homage to the man himself[] Feel free to join me in the quest for a good one. I am sure I can get myself one for under or around the 5K mark. There are a few in the trader this week. Have a butchers[]
  3. Last time I spoke to Matt he was real happy with the RR, just the cost of running was getting to him. Has he had problems recently that you know of?
  4. Got the cat already [&]thanks for the offer.
  5. Thats the great bit about the warranty cover on a new or nearly new car. No funny bills for blown engines or gearboxes. Would never have something as expensive to repair if it was over three years old. Its not worth it.
  6. Thanks for the replys so far[] Cant wait to get rid of the current jeep and get something that isnt made of plastic. Would consider the petrol option....but I'm too tight[]
  7. Just wondered who has one of these just now? The new Range Rover.ie, 2002 onwards. Been looking at a few over the past month or so but not found the one that I like. Were after a Td6 Vouge or Vouge SE. There are plenty of SE's and HSE's to be had , but the better spec ones are not as easy to come by.Were being picky about interior colour and also limited it to either Silver or Black paint. Anyway, I know that folk slate them for being crappy for reliability..blah blah blah...but thats mostly from jealous folk in cheaper cars[] I'm wanting any stories of feed back from the horses mouth. If you own or have owned one, I would appreciate anything you have to say about them. I want something big, comfy and safe, that can tow a trailer, plough through 2 feet of snow and still look the part and get my wife to where ever she needs to go. Were not changing our minds and buying an X5 or a Landcruiser. We are still going to get one so dont try and persuade me[] I just want a bigger picture on these bad boys. Hit me with your worst[]
  8. Thats the one Andy. Found a bed that can support my weight and looks the Blx too. Its made from planks!!Comes all the way from Canada in twelve weeks!!! Dave, know what you mean about the "uni staff" LOL
  9. Will stand by for the details Murphy. Dave, the stuffs good in there , eh! What would the chances be of getting SIDC discount do you think ?[]
  10. Spanx big fella. Been there a few days ago. Long waiting time and not anything we liked. Very nice kitchens but we have chosen that already [] Thanks for the suggestion though. Squirrel, its the new name for it. A " C MaC Mobile"
  11. lol @ the Nutty Squirrel[] Not wanting Scandy wood as its too soft but I will get the details anyway. MSN...... stand by. P.s Series C MaC in Jap guise is the daddy right enough!
  12. Wilky, Yer manifolds on the wrong way roond! Nae wonder it wina' boost[][] Lookin' good[]
  13. Sorry to post up a non Scooby related topic on the Scottish section[:$]But I need the advice of the locals!! Has anyone got good recommendations for suppliers of top quality/hand made furniture. Were looking for a few items. A large side board , a super king bed and a coffee table. We spent most of the afternoon round Glasgow and managed to source a few items we wanted but still require the bed and the sideboard thingy. We were in Back street pine, The other lumbar Co. & a few others today but so far we only have a company called Olympia that have come up with the goods. Im just wanting to check any other options before I bite the bullet and buy. Been round the likes of Sterling and Ikea. [] The stuff is made from bloomin' ply wood and spittle I think!!! If anyone has any sensible ideas then I would be grateful for the heads up
  14. Rab, Can you put forward your point a little clearer please? This problem is a Scottish Section Problem as the post was submitted on the Scottish forum. I know that there might be similar issues in the other sections but as I said , this one started in the Scottish section. If we look at the other Regional area sections, they would appear to have more Subaru/Club related discussion than the Scottish one.The "general" section is a better area for dumping the "O/T" posts is it not? Please let me know how the forum guide lines can relate to any comments I have made. If I have offended any Scottish born forum users then I am sorry, but I'm sure I have put it accross that this is not aimed at the Scottish, it is at the Scottish section. I am open to constructive criticism on anything I have said and can take on board any valid comments. I wont start or participate in any kind of on line battle with an individual as I have never had anyone take up any issues face to face with me yet. There's nothing worse than forum users shouting the odds on line with no intention of resolving the issue or learning anything from the discussion. All I was hoping to point out was the fact that Forum rules have been set for quite some time and that I thought it was relatively clear what was and was not suitable content for a post on any of the sections.
  15. Perhaps the folk who are having trouble coming to terms what Stephen and the others are saying should have a read of the Guide lines for forum users. This was posted on the 3rd of January 2006 by Phil Stephens (SIDC Chairman). I would say that its put across in simple English so there shouldn't be any excuse for anyone to misunderstand the points. If I can follow it , anyone can. Its a pity that the Scottish section cant follow the other "regional areas" and keep it relevant when posting on the sections. Long live the General section!! As posted by Phil ........ " To enhance the quality of the discussion, we ask that you abide by the guidelines outlined in this document when posting messages. 16. "Oh I remember that day well grant" So do I!!! I was the only one who couldn't put my fingers in my ears!! Got a load more of the other cars from that day on vid too. I will make the effort to post some up or send them direct to anyone who wants the clips the next time I'm home.
  17. When you see it in the flesh its very tempting, but then you go into the showroom and see the spec C []
  18. It looks very subtle. No real give away that it has the power it has, yet its still a great looking car with all the bells and whistles. Do it, you know you want to.[]
  19. If your looking for one with good power and handling, probably better than the STI road car, then give Litchfeild imports a shout. I was down there at the weekend and saw the demo car for myself. 330bhp with the handling kit on it and all for a nice price of 27k (ish).Thats for a new car and its and OTR price. Not sur how many s/h cars are on the go just now, but its well worth a look.
  20. Paul, Did you get my mail last week re the MOT? Spanx
  21. 0.5 bar is limp mode. Sounds like the ECU is shuting her down to the safe limit for some reason. Worth a call to AWD or the likes.
  22. Sorry for the thread hi-jack! Ricey, I cant get into my Pm box to reply to you. Its down to the ships server being cack! Anyway, I know its prob too late now as its been about a week since you sent me the PM I think. The gauge is wired into the probe loom. To find it you need to go under the car and remove the gearbox cover/tray. It should be into the loom just before it connects to the sensor loom. Mail me direct on my hotmail address if you need to get a hold of me . h15oob at hotmail.com Thanks
  23. Mailed the seller.HEs after £4500 for it. Drop the £500 and I would be tempted[] Off to Africa for seven weeks as of this morning though, so its oot the window for now[:'(]
  24. I had it re painted but there has been an under bonnet fire since then and no doubt some plonker with a power washer too!!!
