  1. Were en route to Rosyth from Stavanger just now. Weather is better than it was this morning, thats for sure! We only got three hours into out transit on Monday night when we had to turn round due to an unsafe structure on the deck after the weather took its toll. Spent three days in port getting extra fabrication work done. Woke up on Tuesday morning to find snow on the hills and a wind chill of minus something!!! All I can say is roll on Gulf of Mexico!!
  2. Was speaking to Andy at AWD today and he mentioned the motorsport show being penciled in for Febuary of next year. Its being organised in conjunction with the McRae family as far as I know. Theres word of the 555BAT mobile coming out to play and C Mac himself is to be present. Anyone else got more info on this? Heres all I found when I had a quick look. http://iclanarkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/hamil...-name_page.html

  6. Could be Matey. Either way, its a great bit of driving[]
  7. Title says its McRae in action. Looks like Rally day at Castle Combe Superb []
  8. That wire is an earth. It is fixed at the pitch brace on the bulkhead and should then attach to the bellhousing around the pitch brace. There might be an eyelet where its been pulled out of. If not, just re crimp a new eyelt on and attach to anywhere in the same area.
  9. Well, its just my tuppence worth. Some folk like to buy "Max power" add ons for their scoobys and pretend their car is going faster. Do the simple, straight forward stuff first and then look at the companies or (the small amount) of tuners that can get good results. Ones who have a good record in Rallying are a good start. Im sure there are one or two on here that can confirm this.
  10. You wont get any more performance, just the fact that you will be able to keep the foot down till you need to shift up a gear. Small checks for performance will be limited to plug gap, Air filter quality, correct gearbox and diff oils(drag) tyre pressures, engine oil, good octane fuel. Sounds silly, but they all add up.
  11. Never mind Cleatis and Boss Hog. Whos Daisy out of every one on here?[]
  12. If you were running off boost for most of the milage then its more than possible. I had well over 200 to half a tank when we were on holiday in the lakes about five years ago in our MY98 UK car.
  13. Make sentence from following words; hoop-my-hairy-kiss
  14. Cant offer photoshoping for you Matey, but, my dad has those wheels on a silver 99car and it looks good. I will take some piccys tomorrow and send them to you if no one has done it for you.
  15. The solenoid that needs cleaned is located infront of the drivers side suspension turret. It is held on with two 10mm nuts. Has two pipes going into it. One from the bottom and one from the side. It has a loom coming out the top, its around two or three inches long. Make sure you note the way round the pipe work goes on (cant go wrong tbh) and remove it from the bracket. Clean it with some solvent based de greaser, ie. Brake cleaner. Spray some in either end and if possible, blow it through with an airline. Re fit in the reverse order of removal and enjoy benefits
  16. Needs the Boost solenoid cleaned. How "hands on" are you?
  17. Right then. What was the last thing you bought for your Scooby and whats the next thing your buying? No points for anyone saying "a tank of petrol" Last thing I bought was probably a Genuine STI wing last year for my Newage. Next thing will probably be a set of Billies for the latest Scooby. Lets hear yours[]
  18. What were we all doing on this day, five years ago? I will never forget it anyway. Watching the news after ONE plane had hit the tower. Thought it was just a small plane that had hit. Couldn't figure out what was happening when the second one hit as I watched it live. It soon became clear. I'm sure we all struggled to believe what we were seeing. Lets not forget the other planes that went down at the Pentagon and also in Pittsburgh. A grey day in history[:@]
