  1. 4K spent on an average STI RA 2K spent on suspension and brakes 1K spent on breathing and fuel. 2K spent on a good map ie. MoTec Hey presto, 10K gone. Or buy an STI 5/6 if you can find one. Either way, 10K spent [6]
  2. All these posts and the second post said it all ![:|]
  3. You have a re circulating Dump valve. Its factory fit. Leave it as it is. Fit an after market "Dump to Atmosphere" valve and you run the chance of causing engine damage. Just leave it be.
  4. If you can live with the gearing then thats sound. Just the lack of electrics, aircon, and sound deadnin' to think about too. Just do it. You wont regret it. Push for an STI though
  5. Nice home page I think. Glad that the Forum pages still have the great layout they always had. I dont see any reason why we cant visit all the Impreza Forums that are available. Give a little and take a little from all of them.
  6. Its now called MVM and is nothing what so ever to do with Sports car services. All that was bought was the buildings. New owner, new cars and staff.
  7. Will do my best to get the dash striped out of the car before I go away Craig. Got a few other parts needed off it anyway, will just need to juggle jobs [:S] Will call you as soon as its out tomorrow.
  8. Im sure the It dept is in Spain as its a massive company. Hotel/Timeshare company IT should be able to retrieve it if its deleted
  9. Heres one for those in the know. Female reception manager, pregnant, and about to start maternity leave next week. Has been on the receiving end off hassle at work from another manager in another dept for many months now. She found a pile of E mails between the person in question and another manager and also another member of staff. In the emails there are many horrible comments about her not being fit for the job, not going to be allowed back and if she comes back she will only be allowed to clean the toilets. Also comments about how the poor baby will have to suffer its ***#**##* mother, etc when its born. Many more nasty comments that I dont have to hand. There is much much more to this than I can be bothered typing, but Im trying to put across the basic outline of it all. My question is, where do you stand with this if you take it down the legal route? This has surely got to be some form of victimisation or bullying at the workplace hasn't it? After she found these mails and printed them off as evidence , and sat down and read them, she has now become very distressed about it. Ending up crying over this bunch of ar5e holes and their comments. With only three more days to work, I have suggested that she gets signed off in some way from the doctor as I dont feel its wise to be under this stress at such a late stage in the pregnancy. Has anyone got any pointers with regards to how you start the ball rolling here. I want the people brought up for this and the matter dealt with properly. She cant approach the overall manager as hes corrupt too. Do I take this to citizens advice? Any help appreciated Thanks
  10. Not a bad job to do. Just check there hasn't been any damage to the drop link as well. If its just been a low speed impact then I would think there will be no damage to the rest of the car. Most likely that you will find out when you come to fit the new arm if there is any more damage. You will need wheel alignment and camber checked out after you fit it too.
  11. Subarus have Symmetrical AWD systems. To simplify, its down to the engine being In Line and allowing the drive shafts to be equal lengths, prop running down the middle of the car, etc. Cut the car down the middle and she would be "symmetrical" so to speak.
  12. Davie, Is thew car a Uk Car, WRX or STI??? There are a couple of splits depending on year and car. 45/55 most probably
  13. Willie I have a replica V6 spoiler, sitting here doing nowt. Pm me if your interested
  14. Same same. The "boost solenoid" , as its often called, controls the actuator
  15. Try cleaning out the waste gate solenoid. Its located on the drivers side under the bonnet, just in front of the strut tower. It will have three pipes going into it on your car.Two pipes the same size and one smaller. The solenoid its self is about two inches long by one inch diameter with a wire coming out it ( and the three pipes) If you cant find it, just trace the pipe back from the actuator. Thats the part fixed to the turbo with a little rod coming out of it. The pipe is around 8mm ish. You will find the solenoid at the end of the pipe (so to speak) If you have an air box, its a tad more difficult to remove. You need a 10mm spanner to unbolt it from the strut tower and then remove the three pipes. Cant go wrong re fitting them as they are shaped to fit only one way. Next split the electrical plug and clean the beast out with a solvent based cleaner, ie carb cleaner or brake cleaner. Blow through with an airline if possible. Re fit in reverse order of removal and try it. If this is no better, you could be looking at plugs, coil packs, the list goes on. Good luck
  16. Hey there. You can get performance exhaust manifolds, exhaust systems/back boxes for the 2.0L Sport. Im sure you could get something for ther 1.6 Turbo front brakes fit on, so long as you up the wheel size. Front bumper and bonnet swaps would give the turbo look. Interiors can be changed too. A full interior can be had for anything from £50-£250 I would say that a good start would be factory Turbo wheels, front bumper and bonnet, followed by the interior then a custom made back box. Not forgetting that all important rear wing to finish her off.
  17. Looks like someone bit of more than they could chew with that one Dave. Well done, handy for spares there[]
  18. Dave, Fancy a wee "first on the road" bet??[] Mine has to be welded and caged to FIA spec , then a wee trip to the paint shop. Hope to have the shell ready for re build by early summer. Whats your time plan?
  19. Paul, fit a flamer kit and watch the beAtch melt [<)]
  20. yep, your right Paddy. Seen a dude in a BMW boilersuit standing on the verge with a ZM3 parked down the banking one time.[:$] Doing its one thing, but in a customers car!!!Deserves the sack!!! Anyway, hope your troubles sort their selves out Matey.
