  1. Doesn't sound like an engine or crank pully issue to me. Much more likely it's the box, clutch, diff or brakes. Start with the basics, same noise no matter what gear your in? Does it speed up with the revs or with the speed of the car? Does it change when you touch the brakes? Any vibes through the pedals ot gearstick?
  2. About 3 seconds before you see it in front of you Right - back on topic. SSO - who's going?
  3. Again with the gay jokes. I'm starting to see a pattern here. I bet they're all the rage down the hairdressers when you're getting your highlights.
  4. I''m working today and on-call tonight Peter. It should be ok but best give me a call before you head over just in case.
  5. FFs John, you'd need to have windows first.
  6. Who are you and what have you done with the real Cal? Nice choice mate. Now get the spanners out.
  7. Oh yes, everyone's a comedian. And for the record there s some real dust on it. If any of you think you have a "dust buster" bring it on
  8. You don't run methanol do you? It's been known to play havock with fuel gauges.
  9. Well it has been very quiet for the last year or so. Time to put up or shut up methinks.
  10. http://www.scoobynet.com/scoobylive/ 25th of May. Scrict noise limits in force unless your car can do less than a 11.3. Go quiet or go fast is an easy call for me.
  11. Thing is Cal the seat you're using just now needs to be clipped in every time you use the car. When the wee man is in a foward facing seat you just fit it and leave it there, only taking it out every 6 monts or so to clear out all the sh!te thats gathered underneath it. Hmmmmm, don't they all.
  12. Nah mate, just my brave pills Anyway, back on topic
  13. Damm right Steve-o. Just got to hook up the battery and check my life insurance is up to date and we'll be ready. Black is the fastest colour after al.
  14. Good work John, stick with it. Sleep's for homo's anyway.
  15. Quite. Like I said. Buy your vrs, make it a Fab and save a few k. Keep your chariot and mod it to the hilt. Watch your tail at the hill ghostrider, the pattern is full.
  16. Yes, I dit. It smelt of pish so guessed it must have been from you. You really should get your big nappies on before drinking too much
  17. Not as much as you'd think. Old age has more of an effect but I see you've already thought of that.
  18. Well I do like to keep my listeners happy. Mind you wait till you hear it now, bigger blower and tubular headers have added a certain something. About 30 Db's to be precise. Take my word for it Shandyboy. Go big or go home.
  19. Been there and done that when it comes to chopping in the scoob when the stork comes. My old MY97 was the first victim swiftly followed by my R6. Mixed emotions to be sure. If you follow my example what you'll do is buy a semi-sensible daily driver (focus for me) that takes all the knocks day to day life throws at it, is a nice quiet place to sit in when going back and forth to work and does more than 7 miles to the gallon. It also gives you far more freedom when it comes to modding your fun car. Loud exhaust - no problem. Gash economy - sure, why not. So so crash protections - not a concern. Shocking performance that makes every unprepared passenger look at you in terror as if you'd just pulled a shotgun out of the glovebox - hell yeah. One other benefit is your subaru will never again feel slow.
  20. Thought you'd at least have it painted by now, get your finger out matey.
  21. Very nice Rich. Half the number if doors = twice as nice. As you mentioned take it easy till you're used to it, they can be a bit of a handful.
  22. Jobs a good 'un. There are more bits of my car like that than I care to think about.
  23. Oh, amd don't worry about the hose. See if you can simply cut the end off with the plastic in it. If that leaves it too short let me know the id and I'll see if it have some spare.
