  1. Loads of places do it. See all the busses, sky vans, taxis you see with graphic on them that's what that is. You take whatever graphics you want, pictures, logos, decals etc to them and the print it off in ome big sheet and stick it to the car. They can also do camo, circuit board, bubble wrap etc effects too.
  2. Not my cup of tea but then I'm not really a graphics person. If you want to be different John what about getting the car "wrapped" etc, etc, etc
  3. Yes but you can't come last on a track day can you?
  4. Quality is fine, price is fine, speed of delivery and communication are hit and miss. For everyone that says it turned up within a couple of days there's someone who says it took weeks and he fobbed me off at every turn. Thats what happened to me anyway. I paid extra for next day delivery for a part that I was assured was in stock, 3 weeks later it turned up. At the time I heard about 2 or 3 cancelled mapping sessions because of missing parts.
  5. Congratulation Pedro. It's nice work if you can get it. One more and it's a people carrier for you.
  6. PPG can be done for much cheaper if you're prepared to bide your time and watch the for sale forums like a hawk. High spec cars are normally broken rather than sold as that where you get the most money. If someone is parting out a big spec car there will defo be a built gearbox somewhere in the mix. Have some cash put by and be prepared to move fast (literally) when you see one.
  7. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh????????????? I'll have to get back to you on that one
  8. For the new rack and the uj call Grade A on 01663 744114, ask them to throw the newage uj in for free. For the engineering work I went to direct engineering on 01505 333999 but have also used wesy of scotland engineering on 0141 339 6746 and found them to be good too so you could just use whoevers closest. The newage uj has a longer shaft so they cut the column end off my old uj then chamfered the shaft of the shortened new age ones shaft, this was then slotted into a hole bored in the centre of the column uj and welded up. Couple of pics of the modded part http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=y898ca&...1&nostamp=1 http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=y898cb&...1&nostamp=1 And a pic of it fitted to a classic (not mine btw) http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=y8h33g&...1&nostamp=1
  9. As a type r owner I feel your pain. The problem isn't that they're that much more to insure, it's that so few companies cover them. Me - I'd like a quote for my subaru please, do you do jap imports Ins tosser - Yes sir, we specialise in them Me - Great, it's a type r Ins tosser - A type UK? Me - No a type r Ins Tosser - Ooooohhhh, a type ra Me - No, a TYPE R Ins tosser - Is it defo an import? Me - click Try a real specialist like Keith Michaels or A Plan for a realistic quote from people who know what they're talking about.
  10. Of course there is. Have thought about doing this in the past and having a ball at the hot hatch days. Decent cars can be had for hundreds not thousands if you're not too proud. Have you heard of the practicle performance car £1000 challenge? A grand to buy, tune and run a car is easliy do-able. I paid more than that for a clutch for gawds sake. Think 200sx, e30 325i, french hatches, any rwd old school and and a second hand trailer and away you go.
  11. I've got a newage jdm spec c quick rack on my classic. The power steering connections are in a slightly different place but can be bend into shape with no problem. The main issue is the splines on the classic steering column and the newage rack are different. To get round this get a newage uj delivered with the rack (I got mine thrown in for nowt) and get an engineering company to swap the ends. I'd have to check but I seem to remember a brand new rack cost me £250 and the engineering company took £20 to modify the uj. If you want any contacts just ask.
  12. Baby oil? Man-kini's?
  13. Same thing as a fwd or rwd - weight transference.
  14. I don't see what the problem is here. Someone posts up asking for an opinion and loads of people have given it. If they have used them then thats fine, if it's something they heard as long as they say then thats fine too. There's no bandwagon to jump on here. If all the feedback is bad (or good) then the OP has his answer. Reputation is everything in this game and rightly so.
  15. Sounds like a normal day in the SIDC to me.
  16. The first time will be the hardest, every time after that should be easy enough
  17. Outstanding Hope it's not too bad, should be interesting anyway.
  18. Don't mark it as gift. Some make it through but if it attracts attention you may never get it. Either play the value down, but be sensible, or mark it as a replacement part.
  19. Coulty has my old sti 5 gea***t for sale. Was working just fine when it came out of my car. Edited to add - why can't I say gear set? Oh yeah, ar$e
  20. http://cars.uk.msn.com/Photo_Gallery/Popup...-gallery-photo- Don't look at number 33
  21. Yes, a rebuild is possible. In fact I knw Coulty has a full 5 speed gea***t out of my type r that he's looking to sell. It's shorter ratios but they should be tougher. There's second had boxes-a-plenty available too.
  22. Right, first thing to check in that case is that the wheel nuts are not loose. Very common mistake.
  23. Not a bad suggestion at all Jodie and John may have to do that but I'd suggest checking the easier things first.
  24. Jack it up one corner at a time and turn the wheels, sounds like a diff, cv, bearing or brake problem to me. And as I mentioned, when was the last time you had the wheels off or checked the brake pads?
  25. Oh yeah, when was the last time you had the wheels off or checked the brake pads?
