  1. Fow what it's worth I'm just about to complete stage 3. Stage one is generally considered to be remap, decat, exhaust, air filter. It's best to lump certain mods together as they'll work better or because you sometimes can't do something until you've doen something else. i.e. no much pont slapping on a massive turbo when you've got standard injectors.

  5. That took longer than I expected. The reason my car is spec'd the way it is is that only the best will do for my car. The best rack I can fit is a jap spec c one so on it goes. The best shell I can fit it to is a gc8 2 door. The only other newage (sorry middleage ) thing I'd consider adding to my classic nirvana is avcs heads. The rest you can keep.

  7. When you say isn't in the best condition what do you mean? If you have knocking, bearing damage or low oil pressure you may have to buy some additional parts.
  8. What you need depends on why you're changing engines i.e. blown your old engine or just upgrading.

  10. Well, the hatches are here. Have opinions changed? Are the boys chopping in newages for classics and hatches a taste of things to come? Genuinely interested, nit just having a dig BTW.
  11. Cheers for the positive comments lads. It's been a long time coming. Map date is comfirmed for June at the earliest so no rush to get the mot etc done. Hopefully I won't get the urge to change more things before I get it over to Andy's.
  12. Booked in for it's mot week after next, then geo setup followed by a few days bedding things in and general shakedown. I've e-mail Andy for a date (mapping only, no funny business) and that should just about do it. There are a couple of very minor niggles to sort out but nothing that'll keep the car off the road.

  21. Wow, look at those dates. Yes this project just grew and grew. Spec lists changed and changed again, unforseen setbacks, work an family ties all conspired to delay the end of what soundsed like a few days work. Well I'm here to tell you that this round of mods have finished. I'l let the pick do the talking Huuuuge thanks go out to Satan's little helper. John, you sir, are a star.

  23. Never mind the car/wheels/bike (all very nice btw), check out that garage. I'm officially jealous.
