Better chassis? You talking about the focus? My daily driver is a focus and for what it is (civilian car) it's excellent. But if I started chopping up the chassis to fit a boxer engine in there, and then the rest of the floor to take the drivetrain what are you left with? A botch job that neither ford or subaru would have signed off on. Oh, and don't get me started on doing a coversion like that and dropping in a standard uk motor and transmission. If he's cut corners there where else has he under spec'd it? 2 pot brakes anyone? If you think you could take on my inferior subaru with that thing I may well have to modify it with an onboard toliet as I'd surely p!ss myself laughing.

ET48 if memory servers in a 100pdc. My advise would be get anything you can in the right pdc and spacer it to fit your "car". Beggers can't be choosers with these rims and the right offset may never come up.

I could be wrong but it looks like the control unit for his central heating, another reason why fitment is such an issue.

You're having problems because you've installed it upside down.

Clutch and box take a real doing. It stops the boost falling away during gear changes and yes will save you a few tenths on each shift.

Thats it. Might give it a go this year if I feel that the times aren't what they should be.

Phase one boxes start with ty752, phase two's start with ty754. The good news is that you have the newer, better, stronger casing. If you chose to buy a complete box your casing alone is worth a few quid. If you decide to drop in an sti or ppg gear-set you have the best possible home for one. And to top it all off it's Friday afternoon. Woohoo.

A good gear-set would be all you require if a full box can't be sourced.
