  2. yeah my first "spot" it was me davie, with Squirrel as passenger. was heading out for a run, out towards Aberfoyle and did the Dukes Pass..... twice [] I drove it one way (practicing my lines and road positioning) and Squirrel drove back across it, practicing err.... nowt LOL car needs another wash cos its covered in dead bugs........ just washed it before we headed out [*-)]
  3. aww billy, sorry to hear they've not fixed the problems on your squib [{] perhaps its time to get rid of it and come back to classic ownership []
  4. rab, from your descriptions, the pics on the other thread and your model number, your car is a WRX Type RA. the identifiable features of the STi RA are the roof hatch and the DCCD (which came on all cars as standard, no matter what options were checked at the factory). clicky here for model numbers btw, i've had the roof vent open on my STi RA and the only thing that comes through it is wind! the furthest the midges get is getting splat against the windscreen when i'm out on a run []
  5. if we can get it off the ground i dont mind getting all soapy [] and i know how to wash a scooby LOL edit - tho i need someone tall to wash the roof!
  6. suggestion...... if the car wash thingy is portable, perhaps we can do some car washing to raise funds for Santa Cruise? from stephen's post, it doesnt sound like it will take too long per car... and from other posts, seems like folk will be interested [*-)]
  7. LOL gus, i reckon you suit those decals... go for it [] [H]
  8. eh? how can bees be protected? [*-)] what have you got in your garden thats attracting the fancy bees ally? []
  9. some of my pics of the RA: you can see the clouds reflected on the bootlid courtesy of Welsho... after 5 hours of washing & polishing
  10. PMSL [] might try that line at work
  11. clicky to check out the Type-RA site and forum BTW, i cant see the pics. Not sure if its my BB connection tho' [8-)] edit - think the prob is with mozilla, can see the pics if use IE nice car [Y]
  12. just saw this thread, happy belated birthday scott, hope rosie spent as much ££ on presents for you that you did for her [] [<)]
  13. nice pics john [Y] liking the one of the SIDC gang
  14. my day job is 85% PC-based and I'm finding that I'm on the forum a bit more than I used to, now that all staff have internet access [8-)] probably not good for productivity lol

  16. martin, I quite liked seeing you in April's Smart car LOL []
  17. a bump for the SS clothing... i'll be placing Aberdeen's order (collated by Craig Mac) on Monday 17 July. anyone interested in getting tops made up then PM me and i'll include you in this batch order details and prices contained on my first post on this thread [] NOTE - the ladies 3/4 length pink and white top has been discontinued though it is available in blue and white. I've not had time to update the catalogue yet.
  18. Iain, it depends on what kind of car you are after (classic or newage), how long you are prepared to wait/travel to view potential purchases etc but I reckon £6k is enough to get a decent scooby. £6k was my budget (though I was prepared to spend more than that for added security) and there were a lot of cars in autotrader/For Sale sections of scooby forums within that budget. I knew I wanted (a classic JDM STi) and figured it would be over 10 years old for minimal SVA registering hassle. I was prepared to wait to get a decent car and was even considering going down the import-auction route if i didnt see anything I liked in the UK. Also, I had the Squirrel helping me and he was able to quickly rule out any dodgy cars/cars that had been mistreated etc. so yes, I think £6k is enough to get a decent scooby if you take your time and hunt about []
  19. well done davie and john, you guys must be chuffed with the results [<)] [] ".....The last two stages saw Tim Finch off on a big jump destroying his Cosworth and Bob Dennis losing time to us and having a massive spin right in front of us, allowing us to overtake and take more time out of him." we were there and saw the car in front of you spin at the last corner. hats off to the cool manoeuvre where you neatly went past him and across the finish line [Y]
  20. nice pics [] did u have a chance to go to the service area at charterhall? there were some other SIDC-ers there
  21. cant view the pics, asks for password [8-)] if your pics are smaller than 640x480 pixels, you can paste them on to your thread. in your photobucket page, copy the 3rd line (starts IMG) and paste all the text into your post here. should display the pics on the forum[]
  22. i've a question for those guys who think their other halves dont read the forums..... how do you know that she doesnt know what you're up to?? I know of at least 4 other girlfriends that surf these pages when their men are out........ albeit their blokes know about it. dont want to cause mass paranoia, it was just a thought! btw, i can see that we're gonna have to send playsatan in to negotiate future emergency situations, his post is a cracker [] experienced in modding the car and keeping the wife sweet are we colin? lol
  23. a couple more pics from yesterday's Jim Clark....... Blackadder - going down the straight approaching a 90 right...... the 90 right.... Buxley - 90 left after chicane bales Blackadder - different viewpoint - long straight before 90 right gave up taking photos in the afternoon after stopping off at Swinton for a lovely lunch in the local hotel. bumped into Spooks, Rosie and Bandit manning the SIDC stand at services. must say well done to them for being able to stay in the services whilst the rally cars popped and banged past them [Y] also saw Zeolite and Corsa briefly. top day, weather was just right for spectating, slightly overcast but not raining, occasional sun so not sweltering like last year []
