  1. Lol or let anyone that knows what a spanner is, have a look at it.
  2. You know where the panel filter is on the car? Follow the big box that is in, onto a tube and in that tube is a sensor. It should be sticking out the tube with a wire going onto it. With the car running, disconnect it. It should stall. If it doesn't, the MAF is knackered, though in some cases even a new MAF can have the car keep running....God knows why. At least try it and see.
  3. It's nearly as freaky as your avatar Ac!d.
  4. What kind of plugs you got in it?
  5. Any CEL light on? Try disconnecting the MAF sensor to see if it stalls. Maybe leave the battery disconnected over night too.....saves you hunting about for the plugs under the dash.
  6. The way i read that, is it started running bad AFTER the new fuel went in. So first off, you SURE you put V-Power in? There's always a chance of diesel? Don't wanna make you look stupid, but i come across this thing every month or so. It's either that, or a really bad tank of fuel. Might be worth going back to the station and let them know, they may have a problem.
  7. No worries. If you DO get stuck whilst doing the work, drop me a PM and i'll give you my mobile. If theres anything i can help you out with, i'll try my best.
  8. Never knew it was yourself Acid, otherwise i'd have been over for a chat. Your car goes well.
  9. What you really wanting to know exactly mate? Turbo-Biggest prob is nut deciding to sieze onto the stud. Hefty strong bar and time will eventually remove the nut. Intercooler-No real problem, just make sure you tighten all the jubilee clips, so there are no leaks. Injectors-Caps can be broken when removing if not careful and make sure you fit the new ones appropriately. Uppipe-Simple enough....2 extra bolts and nuts to come off after the turbo comes off. Fuel Pump-Remove old one......fit new one. Easy. One word of caution, use new original Subaru gaskets for turbo, up and downpipes, otherwise you may end up removing them all again, when the cheap ones don't seal up properly.
  10. Prolly take the best part of a day, expecting a couple problems along the way. Biggest time consumer is the turbo, with the up-pipe just being an additional item to remove/fit once the turbo is off. Mind you, the cutting of the bumper can be a PITA to get right.
  11. Absolute God and his legend will live on forever. Condolences to the whole McRae family and their friends.
  12. Sad sad news....just can't believe it really. I reckon this more than qualifies for a run like Wilkys Richard Burns Memorial Run.
  13. Good day and good turn out. No pics taken and i left when it started raining, so all good.
  14. No need to sell a car, because your not happy about a performance figure. Did the mapper mention the restriction BEFORE you seen the power figures, or did he only think there was a restriction when you got the power figures and tried mapping for more power?

  16. The Wilwoods fit straight onto your car, with no problems at all.
  17. You can actually use any of them tbh, just so long as you have the appropriate sized t-piece.
  18. Don't normally agree with Stuart.........but he DOES have a point.
  19. I've had the pleasure of being able to compare them first hand to both the AP 6 pots and AP 4 pots though.
  20. Good brakes should never really be called overkill, unless your fitting a true race setup that wont heat up properly unless you have 700hp. The Wilwoods are WAY better than uprated discs and pads for the Subaru 4 pots. The Wilwood kit should also come with brake lines, although the brake line bolt has a slightly different thread, to the ones used in the Subaru caliper, so you'd need to get a couple of them if you went the Wilwood way.
  21. http://www.scoobytuner.com/products/?sfID1...p;productID=432 For the brakes. For the suspension, i'd prolly try and get some secondhand STi5/6 suspension and as mentioned before, get a good place to sort out the geometery.
  22. Your not getting it confused with the usual popping and banging from the stainlees steel exhaust?
  23. Good to hear Frank, well in. Forget about figures, as it's too easy to be upset by them. As long as it feels faster, thats the main thing.
