Cheers Colin. Never gonna put the last one down, but overall this is the best package i've had yet. Grip is SO much better(albeit on 225 tyres) and suspension is bang on for comfort and hard use. Powerwise it could always use a bit more, but delivery is very sweet. Remembering that it only has a decat and VERY safe Ecutek map, it goes well for it. The car has really surprised me, just how capable it is. I'll pop through some time and we'll go for a wee blast. Hows yours coming along now?

I had the same problem as Z1000 describes, when i fitted the Brembo's to the RA. Taking out the bias valve sorted the problem.

Yep, i know the problem mate. I was once told by Harvey Smith and AlanG to remove the bias valve. Basically you just take the valve out the way and join up the pipes together. I have the appropriate joiners, although not a perfect fit due to the thread not being identical, but tighten them up enough and the seal just fine. Dunno where your based and you have have picked them up and i'd show you what to do?

Bore wash happens over years, not a couple of hours. The rattling i agree, sounds like the turbo heat shields. Once cool, see if they rattle by tapping them. Lack of boost/power sounds like something hasnt been refitted properly. Have you tried the old dump valve again to see if that works ok?

Just to add to Colin and Johnnys repies, i remove the G1 pulley also. When it comes to replacing G1, rotate the crank back a fraction, to give the belt some slack, put the pulley on and then move the crank back to its proper position. This takes the slack back to the tensioner.

Probably would be hin Grant, though i'm unsure about what year/plate his is. With 400 of each to play with, i'm sure you'd know if it defo WAS him, or not. [] How loud was it, as the last time i was over, it was silly loud.....for a doctor. []

I know of at least 2 UK Turbo engines that got beyond 400hp with no problem and 1 early WRX RA engine that got 430hp. All engines had stock internals.
