  1. Frank ya nutter! I doubt you'll ever make full use of an FMIC. Stick with a top mount IMHO. [H]
  2. Have replied to your PM mate.
  3. Clean all the boost pipes with brake cleaner. Most likely be a build up of oil/dirt in the pipework.
  4. Okay doke. I'll see what i can do. []
  5. I'd be interested in them, if i manage to sell my car. If you don't try to sell them right now, let me know and i'll try to hurry the sale along. []
  6. Everyone is different in they way they drive cars as well as start and stop them. If you are a harder braker, then yes they will not last as long.....worth getting the calipers checked btw. If you've had a similar problem with another car, then chances are, it's yourself and how you use them.
  7. Just to add to the above.... decent oil and fuel!!!!
  8. Welder and steel supplier at the ready. [] If you decide to through with this option, just remember and ask the guys selling you it, if the metal is weldable. Some them is pig metal i think and useless.
  9. Lol at Grant! No worries Andy. Even if you got a clamp that wasn't quite big enough, we could probably modify one to suit...
  10. Tried any caravan places Andy? I'd have thought, if it's possible to get a clamp that size, they could get it for ya.
  11. Used to have 19's on my old RB5. Loved them, although a PITA to clean. Never took the car round corners like i should have, but i knew i could rub the rim, as the sidewall wasso small. Even with the 18's just now, i can get the wheel to touch the road.[:S]
  12. Lol, no worries. Projects thread is a good idea, but it'll go the same way as SNET.... "Today, i'm trying to fill my car up with petrol, in the hope of not spilling any and getting the absolute maximum per pence from the nozzle. I'm led to believe that by either tipping it right up, or shaking it about i gain the most, but i intend on finding the definative way. Any comment or thoughts greatly appreciated."
  13. Lookin good Colin. What made you dive in and get it this quick? Mark supply it did he?
  14. Upping the boost as long as you take the appropriate precautions. The gauges i'd suggest is obviously boost, AFR and Knocklink. All Scoobs come with a fuel cut built into the ECU so it will cut all power if the boost goes too high. There is usually a bit of power to gain up to this fuel cut, so it's definately possible. I have some manual boost controllers here. They come with fitting instructions and fittings. £17 delivered.
  15. Even just another coat of lacquer can change the look/colour of the paintwork. It's of course impossible for me to tell, without seeing though... I will say that plenty of colours have more than one varient. Ford Diamond White for example, has about 30 shades!
  16. Rob, your just jealous cause you don't have a scoob!!!! []
  17. Lol. Well it works but i don't like the roughness of it. IE is much nicer to use IMHO. Think i'll keep Firefox for SIDC and use IE for the rest. [H]
  18. Test.... []
  19. Good stuff mate. I'll bet the MAF won't know what's going on when the OE box goes back on! Drive it easy for a while when you refit the airbox. So the ECU can learn the air/fuel ratio a bit. An ECU reset wouldn't go amiss either. Disconnect the battery for the night if you can and when you reconnect it in the morning, take it for a a nice easy drive and all should be good from then on.
  20. Tis a bit Gus, but i do like the layout etc. Smilies seem to be ok, on every other forum...
  21. Yer, been to them a couple of times before. Nice one. How is the car now btw? Any smoother?
  22. Believe me....it isn't!
  23. Time for a sharp exit.....
  24. Bor in the locks. Not worth the hassle IMHO, to remove the IE7 then. I'll just stick to the Cheers mate. :thumb:  :rasp:
  25. I'd be going back to the Subaru dealer that done the work to let them see it and to get their opinion. It's quite possible it wasn't installed properly. I tend to use more than enough sealer, as it is too big a task to have to do the whole job again, just for the sake of scrimping on a bit of sealer.
