  1. Lol. We do a lot of work for Arnold Clark and every time, i hear it all. This is, we can't help but buy from them....even if they are a useless bunch of w**k's. []
  2. No worries Christopher. []
  3. Sounds like he's hitting fuel cut to me. Clean all the boost pipes out with brake cleaner.
  4. Oh f u k.[:|]
  5. Pic of the first scoob.... second scoob.... third...... and finally the fourth.....
  6. It's easy to see Stevie. Looking under the bonnet, on the left hand side cam belt cover, right on the top corner, should be a wee bracket with a sort of yellowy/clear connector. How many wires are on it, is what lambda sensor you need. http://www.apiengines.com/index3.php
  7. I can't believe some people!!! The first one is actually an exhaust gas temp from an STi1/2. The second one i'm not sure about, as the connector is not something i've ever seen before. My view, is to get yourself onto API Engines and order a universal lambda through them. You'll need to tell them what age of car it's for, but this is simple to work out how many wires is on your lambda sensor.
  8. Very good. [H] I'll be sticking to not having one though......weight saving. [][]
  9. You do know that condensation is also very much in your catch can don't you?
  10. I touch goats mate.
  11. What sort of sevice you needing done mate? PM me if you prefer.
  12. How was the pipework fitted Peter? Sounds a bit strange, as the catch can doesn't literally stop oil use, but merely "catches" it. It wouldn't/shouldn't change anything, is what i mean.
  13. Or you can just have all the breathers vented to atmosphere. True, you can't then tell how much oil is disappearing, but you should be regularly checking your level anyway. Ignorance is bliss. []
  14. You'll be lucky if your block only needs a hone and your crank will most definately need replacing.
  15. I'll think about that once i've experienced it. []
  16. The ultimate Scoob........a Classic with the Newage chassis. Mmmmmmmmmmmm baby!!!!
  17. Well said. [][]
  18. Cheers Alan. What's the views on the newer version?
  19. Not a lot of info, but a little bit......... http://www.j-garage.com/subaru/impreza/gc8/sti.htm
  20. Lol at Andy. []
  21. Obviously some VF turbo's are more robust than others, but i've of some, not being able to take much more than 1.5 bar. As long as you run everything by Andy before mapping, he'll be able to keep you right. [H]
  22. It's bit of luck at the end of the day, but they are a bit brittle and with high boost, the compressor blades can break off and do some pretty major damage.
  23. Lol, hairy muff. As far i am aware, they do need properly heated up, to make them "friendly". [] I ran my old RA with a newage WRX intercooler, which got 320/300 on the rollers, while not even reaching full boost. Ok, there will be benefits from the STi intercooler, but i wouldn't say it's NEEDED from the way Chris drives the car and what mods he's going for. I agree with Higgy on the CAI, but Chris is wanting loads of noises when you lift off the throttle. [8-)] []
  24. I know i should get some more up-to-date pics, but i can't find my USB to Digicam cabel. [] So...
  25. From hearing a few stories, you need to get them MEGA hot, before they'll get through. I doubt it was heated up enough to "scrape" through.
