  1. That's the main point there. Well said Stu.
  2. Another one here, who agree's with the above.
  3. Supposed to be diverter valve...basically a recirc dump valve.
  4. wasnt having a dig ! i was expecting something totally radical and unusual ! so keep yer hair on ! He ain't gonna be able to do that. [] Is the bonnet the same as Mikee's, John?
  5. It's worth sticking a new set of plugs in there, just to cancel the option out and the OE spark leads are actually known to be the best tbh.
  6. Sounds more like spark plugs or leads. If you disconnect the MAF sensor, the engine SHOULD stall, although i have had an engine keep running, even with a brand spankin new MAF fitted. Give it a try anyway.
  7. Lol, no worries. There's loads of kit's out there, you just need to have a good search about. A lot of poeple won't touch them, as there mates haven't tried them, or the AP's are only a bit dearer, but if that's all you can afford, i can honestly say, you still won't be unhappy with them. Either stick a post up on that thread, or PM/email Danny. He's a good guy and i'm sure he'll let you know what's what.
  8. So it's gonna set you back about £600+ all in. IMHO i wouldn't bother. Stick to your 4 pots till you find AP's and sell the 4's on to offset the cost. Either that or find some good brand new 6 pot kit. £900 for the Willwoods in this GB... http://bbs.scoobynet.com/wilwood-6-pot-t501109.html
  9. Taking out the bias valve altogether and replacing with joiners semmed to do the trick there, John. I was surprised just how much better it made it in fact.
  10. Have PM'd you on 22b Chris.
  11. It is possible, but for the price they command at the moment, you would be as well trying to get some secondhand AP's. You need spacers for sure, but the size of them depend on the offset of your wheels.(at least 17's) Then, if the spacers are fairly larger, you need longer wheel studs. A bit complicated, considering AP 4 pots, can fit under 16's when using 304mm discs.
  12. [:'(] Can't believe i forgot about this!! So wanted to go this year. []
  13. Eh RS6 against the P1....bit of a stormer. []
  14. If uprating the pump, i suggest you get an FPR...regardless of year. The pump on it's own CAN actually have the engine use to much fuel. The regulator just simply can't cope with the extra amount of fuel. For all the extra money for the FPR, i'd get one.
  15. Great pics and Oobsters sccoob stands out for me the most again. [H]
  16. Lol, we all do that from time to time.[:$] []
  17. Have the neighbours not offered to pay for it?? You may get away with it being blended in...depends on how bad it is and where it starts and stops. Either way, poor show man.
  18. No worries Bry. IMHO you can't go far wrong from the 3" system from Revolution. They sell 2 different tailpipes and the oval one is the least loud and still gives a very nice noise. Check here.... www.revolution.eu.com Actually, i can't see them selling their downpipe, when you select the newage, somaybe best to phone them and see what they say.
  19. Been a long day Callum. Wuman wants a new car......need i say anymore. [] I'll need to get a list up, but i doubt there's anything you'll miss this time. [] Andy, is that the power it gives?! []
  20. Doh! Way ahead of myself there. [] My apologies. Indeed and Ecutek IS the way to go. [H]
  21. You'd choose an Ecutek over a PFC mate?
  22. IMHO you should get an APS cold air kit, a full decat exhaust and remap from Andy on an Apexi PFC. That should get rid of that 1500 and should net you some plenty extra power. []
  23. Grant, just get a newage WRX ic, as they are plenty cheap and you only need to modify the brackets to get it to fit ok...maybe the inlet plenum too, but it should be ok on your year or car. With an FMIC, you'd prolly need to get a remap, otherwise it would drive kinda laggy, but the top mount would be fine.
  24. Hi Kenny. What it all comes down to, is what you want at the end of the day. If it's defo a 2 door model you want, you'll be paying 8.5k+ for a decent one. First Choice cars have been discussed on here and the general consenssus, was they sold dogs, but i'm not sure myself. STi's uprated internals and they *should* get over 400hp if taken care of. Fuel is the tricky thing. Till you get it remapped, it could be bad, or it could already be pretty good. Depends on current mods and how the car is. They seem to vary a bit, you get good and bad standard cars, as you can any other motor. [] If you look in For Sale, Ross is selling his Type-R at the moment.
