  1. Paul@Dastek Good post and I touch goats.
  2. That's nothing to worry about at all Peter. [] We're ALL still learning, ALL the time. [H]
  3. Lol, i doubt very much you will find the 18G to be "laggy". Jesus, how many peeps are there with 20G's on their 2 litres!? If there is something i hate doing, is changing too many bits, over and over again. Stick to one thing that will do the whole job and don't scrimp on it. There is ALWAYS a chance you will go further in the future...
  4. Every scoob has a knock detector fitted as standard, but if you want to see if there IS any det, then i would strongly suggest fitting one. I don't think any owner shouldn't have one fitted, even if they have a PFC with commandefr, as you simply can't see the screen properly, especially when it's bright daylight...
  5. A decat doesn't need to be loud and an induction kit is only loud when your booting it and coming off throttle. Turbo choice is your own thing, but personally, i'll keep away from VF turbo's. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but they break up all too easily and to me, then engine is worth a lot more in one piece, than putting one of them on. I WOULD agree however, the TD04 hybrid is defo another option... I'll talk to you again on MSN Chris, later on.
  6. Not too shabby video, but what happened to me and Chris going up the tunnel? [] Were we too quick for ya?! []
  7. Where's the vid?! []
  8. Cheers guys. [H] We'll meet up again soon Peter and i'll take you a burl. Would have kicked about longer, but it was just too damn cold.
  9. Just in myself and diein for a slash. [] Cheers for the event guys, was a good one and the wee run through the tunnel..........nearly went off with a casualty! Yes, i did feel the backend coming out on me when exiting it, on the back run. [:s]
  10. Oh joy of joys! []
  11. No worries dood. [] Warranty's aren't for scoob owners. []
  12. Get yourself some Focal speakers off Ebay, Martin. You be surprised how bassy such small speakers can be. []
  13. Replied...
  14. Spoilers struts? PM me if you prefer....maybe i can help. []
  15. What sort of power and weight is your car Notorious?
  16. Nice time! What was your 60 ft time?
  17. Cool. [] Can't believe it's been that long already though! [] Bit scary! I might do, depending on the weather. Not been too great lately. I'll have a shifty at the thread. Cheers. [H]
  18. Used to see one quite a lot going up to the Vale of Leven Hospital. I presume someone who worked there owned it. Ugly lookin beggar. How you getting on Ally? Still got those wheels i sold ya? []
  19. That'll be Peter off to look for an EJ22T now then? []
  20. Looks funny, but i have to ask....wtf is the deal with all this sheep stuff lately??
  21. Lookin good Fee/Adam. Really makes me look forward to getting one myself. [H] Was there a lot of weight in the stuff you removed? Not including all the aftermarket I.C.E.
  22. Have to say, this is one of the best threads ever on S.S. There will always be people who doubt figures GOOD OR BAD. That's just the problem, it's only figures. We all know that even on the road, smaller, less powerful cars can give you a scare. I remember SG72 once had a run in with a Lupo GTi, when he had his old Type-R(Andy's car now) and it was running over 400hp then with a 20G. He mentioned he was getting away, but not that fast and i believed him, purely as i'd had similar experiences. Golf TDI's for instance....amazing amount of torque and on the road, that's what matters. Enough people, i feel, that are on this site, can tell roughly with a list of mods, how powerful a car really is and therefore don't really NEED the figures to let them know. RR days are good, but it can leave you feeling gutted, so don't look too far into it, even if it's the figure you thought it would produce.
  23. A Forge Motorsport one.
  24. IMHO did bother with a BOV, get a recirculating valve. When you get an induction/cold air kit, the recirc valve will produce a much nicer noise and there isn't any running or changing gear problems. Besides, it's easier to map the car, with a recirc fitted, IIRC.
  25. Personnaly, i'd go with 7's and stick with Subaru's own leads.
