  1. Ha! Drb5's mate....that'll be right, Alan. [] Guy with the mega loud silver classic was Trance. Can't remember his proper name and if you remember the cocky wee bugger with the P1, then that was Techno IIRC. The good old days. []
  2. Well i'm defo out for Saturday. []
  3. Harthill services is good for me, as the car seems so far, ok to run. Mapping tomorrow, so it still can go TiT's up.
  4. Might be able to make it, depending on the gearbox today.
  5. ..........hmm. Twin-turbo anyone???
  6. I know exactly how you feel, but it's almost gauranteed there will be something else you should have done instead. [] I had the same problem myself, with wanting everything done...making sure i had nothing to worry about, but it just didn't happen. There was always something that could have been tweaked. All i'm meaning is wait and see. You never know, it might be perfectly fine. There's plenty of people with no problems at all.
  7. Am i getting this right, Gogsie? Your wanting to uprate the actuator, when you don't even know if you NEED to? I reckon you should drop Andy a wee PM/email to ask for his idea's, but i wouldn't have thought he'd agree with another actuator. If you do have an AVCR, which i see Wuz has pointed out, use that and forget about it till the mapping day comes(or sooner if you ask Andy), then take it from there. I've heard bad stories about uprated actuators, but i won't elaborate as it's not be hard evidence. Another thing. If your worried about the main problem with the actuator(boost creep), then the uprated actuator wouldn't combat that really. Porting the exhaust housing of the turbo would. Just wasn't sure of your main reasons for upgrading it?
  8. Replied Les. It won't fit, as you need a 3 port solenoid and the P1 uses a 2 port.
  9. [] I aim to please. The MBC gives better boost control than standard, with the benefits of it being so much easier and quicker to clean, when the time comes. You don't need to set the boost higher than standard either, so it's not as though you NEED loads of gauges tomake sure it's ok. Just so long as you have a boost gauge, just to make to you get it set bang on standard, or a touch more if you the extra gauges. PM me if you do want it. Instructions supplied and if you get stuck, i'll label the pipework so you can't go wrong when fitting it.
  10. As Grant says. I have a brand new manual boost controller here if you want it. £15 delivered.
  11. Lol, sorry just didn't explain myself well enough. I'm just making a point in explaining to make sure they are either v5 or v6 suspension(as they are newer and therefore should be in better condition), but don't buy they if they look as though they have been in a war. I say v5 and 6 suspension is great, but still a bit high for me, on the STi springs. []
  12. PMSL!! Go to this... http://get.live.com/messenger/overview and download it. Should be easy enough for you to understand. [][]
  13. You know your email address for it? PM me it and i'll see if it add's you.
  14. Lol!!!! [] You MSN yet Frank?
  15. Na, not worth the hassle IMHO. Besides you get a better top speed with the 45 tyres. I got mine for......£170, but don't tell anyone. [][] They usually go for about £300, but if you can find em cheap, it's worth paying it. As long as they ain't rough as feck and V5 or 6. You could look at KYB shocks if your interested in STi suspension, as they aren't far off the stiffness TBH and they are adjustable dampening too.
  16. Probably mate. It's more-so the tyres themselves and you'll be on 215/45's i expect? Won't need much though, but i had to warn you. [] I recently changed my sussy to STi5 V5 strut's with PI springs and so far they've been great. I find the rears sit a lot higher than the H&R's, but AFAIK it's the same, except lower, as the P1 sussy. Spoiler-scraping-tastic!![8-)]
  17. Forget the rest Frank. Get yourself some H&R's and be prepared to roll the rear arches. [H]
  18. STi RA is lighter 1. Imy 2. Drb5 STi Limited is lighter 1. Squirrel 2. st3ph3n 3. WRXMANIA (just lighter) Sorry Grant, but i doubt you've lost THAT much weight. []
  19. AP's are never discounted enough IMHO. £1200-£1250 is what i reckon they'll be....still worth it though. []
  20. ...in the for sale section if anyones interested. []
  21. The split looks to me like the bracket that holds the up-pipe to block has broken and came off, or has been cut off some time ago. Theres another bracket on the other side of the up-pipe anyways, so no biggy.
  22. Sounds like a fuse mate. Check them out.
  23. I'm forgetting the 06 WRX gets the 2.5 too! Thinking it was just the STI....dunno why. I agree, the 20G is perfect for it and i'll be selling my 20G very soon, if anyone wants it. []
  24. I'd have thought you'd have suggested the 18G Andy, no?
  25. Can't get better than an early RA for under 4k. Might not be the cleanest of cars, but it'll be the most fun for money. Get a panel filter, decat zorst,Z5 ECU and whack the boost up! An easy 300+hp. Nice. []
