  1. Never used the Garage myself so don't know what they're like. I only used quick fix as it was just to push out the old bearing and push in the new one so easy job (if you got a press). They seemed to have done a better job than a certain subaru specialist who did my last one and charged me £380 for the privelage. Johnny
  2. Boab if its only to push it in i used quick fix, took a few minutes and cost little. if not them what about the garage or baz? johnny
  3. Couldn't have been repaired well if the paintwork is fading already. Johnny
  4. Chris only jokin about costs, not got a clue about that. As for mine, all i know is its gonna take a long time + i'm using my sti2. had it for 8years now can't see me selling it (although you never know). Its going into the garage tomorrow now i've got my bike sorted. Johnny
  5. lol, i meant 500 for 5G so 1000 for 10G possible I bet you have andy, does the eg33 fit onto a 6spd without mods? How is the space in front for a rad etc.? Johnny
  6. 10G will be plenty chris, i won't be going over 5G with my build Johnny
  7. Who cares if the engines standard if the car looks that good. They are quick enough anyway and at least it will be reliable. Johnny
  8. Nowt wrong with the weather today i'm sure you'll get there. There's no point in trying to rush things. you'll get it how you want in the end m8. Johnny.
  9. Oh maaannn, Nice Need to go change my pants now... Cheers dude. johnny
  10. I'm not happy... In a couple of the pics you can see a wee bit of a quattro.. Where's the proper pic?? Johnny
  11. Must admit i was quite taken aback with the way it seems to have been handled. I was a member in the past, but as my car is off the road at the mo and debatable wether it will go back on it's of no benefit for me to rejoin. I have enjoyed loads of days out, meets, trackdays etc in the past 8 years and met some great guys (and gals). That said, i was thinking of rejoining anyway to give my support but after reading this thread and seeing how this site (scottish scoobies part) seems to be dying i will be thinking twice and watching, hoping it picks up again, after all the new season is upon us which should help. Maybe thats the wrong attitude and after all its only £20 but for me its not about the money its about the banter, the comraderie and the way we all help others out if possible but that seems to be slipping away these days. Johnny
  12. Steve whitson (SW MOTORSPORT) 07956119962. He's in penicuik. Top bloke. Johnny
  13. That box will struggle with anymore than 350bhp, if you treat it hard it may not even cope with that. Johnny.
  14. Why not get Andy F to convert your td05 to 20G? It depends on what you want from the car, the 20g is a bit more laggy but still not bad and its good for up to 400bhp if you want a bit more in the future. Johnny
  15. Well the bike show is just around the corner. Is anyone going? I know its overpriced and gets smaller every year but apart from the haggis autojumble in lanark its all we got at this time of the year up here. So i'll be there on the sunday, probably not on the bike though as i'll prob have the boys with me. Johnny
  16. I think if i was going to throw nearly 50k at a car i'd go for something like this... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2490696.htm I know its not new but for me it doesn't matter. Johnny
  17. One of the guys on a bikers forum i use is looking to get the alignment on his car done. He's from aberdeen and is looking for recommendations. I thought i'd ask on here for him, who you guys use. Johnny.
  18. There is a garage selling brand new, unregistered spec c's for around 21k on pistonheads. Absolutely stunning cars, Johnny
  19. I will do a project thread when its nearer the finished stage ( i reckon it'll take me about 2 years or so to build). It wont be faster than colins as i will probably need to use mine as a road car more than him and i dont want to rotate the turbo. I can't start it until i get a couple of bikes sorted and out my garage, so hopefully get back into it in the spring. Johnny
  20. Not bad dave, you? The motor isnt going too well these days as its needing a couple of bits. Mainly needs an engine + box + an interior...lol Johnny
  21. Ask colin, he saw it yesterday... Johnny
  22. i've got a blitz mechanical one if your interested, white faced + its very nice + works great. I was keeping it but i dont think it'll work with what i've got planned. johnny
  23. I was watching Top Gear apocalypse the other night and although it was absolute crap, after talking about it at work, one item started a debate which i thought i'd continue on here. The feature was, in post apocalyptic britain eventually there would be only 1 barrel of fuel left to fill up with. The dilemma is... What car would you put it in for your last drive? For me i think it would be a Ferrari 360 challenge stradale....
