  2. Alright All, Im looking into getting a subaru impreza wagon, preferably a classic sti version. I know these are hard to come by and i havent seen many for sale. I have found this one and wondered if anyone knew the car. http://www.hurstcars.co.uk/used-cars/subaru-impreza-bedford-201313507525178 Reg no is X558 XEO, it was imported in 2011 but dont know who imported it. Also has anyone had dealings with hurst car sales in Bedford. Cheers
  3. Cheers for all the replies. I think i might pass on the blue one as its been in the country since 2005 and doesn't seem genuine. Cheers for the vin plate info Wee Jock. I found that site a while ago and ive printed of the info for version 2 cars to take with me and check. The White N reg sti version 2 has only been in the uk since 09-2009 and seems in pretty good nick, with good mileage for the age. Thats what is tempting me. I thought the prices were a bit steep as well but could hopefully get it down to £3500, maybe less if i find out its just and STI instead of whatever else they may call it. Do you think £3500 is still to much. I was having a look on pistonheads today and there didnt seem like much decent cars. The problem is i dont have a car at the mo cause i was using the missus car over winter but now she needs it back and i need to get something to use until summer time. Cheers Hyper
  4. Yeah thats the blue one im also going to look at. Is it a genuine 555. This is the white one i like as well, http://finance.autoexposure.co.uk/popupimage.cfm?VehicleID=AETV87566050&Image=http://images.autoexposure.co.uk/AETA87759/AETV87566050_2c.jpg advertised as a V-limited STI but i dont think it is Cheers Hyper
  5. Alright. Sorry about that, i thought the link was to the car. Its actually the dark blue N reg, 5th car down on page two and the white N reg below it. I like the white one the best but dont believe its a V-limited and im also a bit dubious weather its an STI since the mirrors and skirts aint painted. Cheers Hyper
  6. Alright all, Im going to look at a Impreza version 2 on saturday at MVM Imports. Here's the link to the car if anyone is interested. http://www.mvm-imports.co.uk/ They have the car advertised as a V-limited. I thought that V-limited's only came in blue? If im wrong how can you tell its a genuine V-limited or STI for that matter? I take it the STI's didnt come with painted sideskirts or door mirrors. This will be my first Impreza if i buy it, so just wanted some advice incase its a sh*ter cheers Hyper
  7. Alright. Thanks for the advice. Ive had a look on the MLR as well and its prettymixed reviews, mostly bad as well. Im not local, live in Aberdeen, Scotland. SVA is pretty much as far away as i could look for a car. Any advice would be really great as i want ot find a low mileage minter. Cheers
  8. Alright all. Im looking into buying a version 5 or 6 Type-r. I have noticed that SVA imports have alot for sale and they all look pretty good. I was looking at getting them to import me one in steel grey(Hopefully thats the correct name for the grey colour). Just wondered if anyone had bought a car from them and what they thought of them. Cheers hyper
  9. Cheers for the reply's. It was probably me that asked about it at the beging of the week. Just wanted to clarife they would be ok before i go buy one. Any other info on type-r ownership would be great form anyone. Cheers Hyper
  10. Alright all. Im doing a bit of reasearch just now into buying a version 5 or 6 type-r. I have asked this question already but i was hoping people with a type-r would give me true perspective into ownership. Does anyone how has a typ-r use it and winter and what are they like if it snows really bad? I know it comes down to tyre choice and how you drive but i would of thought with impreza's being AWD they should be pretty good. Any advice on the specs of either a version 5 or 6 would be greatly appreciated as theirs so many things ive read that tell you so much but not enough. Cheers Hyper
  11. Alright all. I am looking into buying a two door sti type r and i was wondering if they are any use in the winter. I have heard they aint that great cause the car is setup up to be more rear wheel drive. Just wondered what anyones thoughts are on this Cheers Hyper
