  1. Sounds and looks good Peter . I'm sure you'll think it's all been worth the hard effort and expense once you get your mitts on it again .
  2. What sort of price mark are you talking about Paul? The Skoda VRs TDi estate would perhaps be ideal for you with the family and pets? Chipped up would be over 200bhp and lots of torques?
  3. Happy Birthday Richie, hope you have a good one .
  4. Last week he told me he's away on Holiday this week, and that he may be back in week or a month, depending on how the Volcanic Ash Clouds affect his return travel plans .
  5. Leaving Old Inns at 735am prompt, be there or be square, add your name below 1. badbaz 2. gbsti 3. Phil MC 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
  6. Me too. I'll be going up over the Kincardine Bridge. I think BadBaz is voting for a Glasgow/West meet up at the Old Inns services
  7. Happy Birthday Kenny, hope you have a good-un .
  8. Or at least I'd be very wary of a list of other things needing attention if he's not bothered his @rse even getting the brakes up to scratch before selling it .
  9. Do Hypertech and AWD not just send the brakes away to a 3rd part to get them refurbed anyway? If you're not handy with a spanner you may be better off going to Hypertech and getting them to swap the brakes over, assuming they have stock of them? Worth a phone call I'd have thought.
  10. I'm sure I heard that AWD in Perth offer a trade-in refurb service?
  11. Nice vid Baz . I used to live up in Kyle when I was a youngster, and the footage of going ever so gingerly down the cliffside road to Applecross is one that brings back so many memories . There's some lovely white sandy beaches round that coastline too, very picturesque!!!
  12. That's the Shell petrol station just off the A80 just past Dobbies garden centre at the last Cumbernauld turn-off. I'll be there, but most likely in the Seat.
  13. Hi and welcome, nice looking classic there.
  14. How about this Franky (And local too), you'll not need to mod it at all for fast road use??? Clicky thing to see car details!!!
  15. As Neil said, just don't buy anything else for it if you're going to be trading it in .
  16. Good to hear it'll be getting sorted today Neil . P.S. I delivered the centre section last night. Franky say many thanks and he's gonna sent you a PM when he gets a chance. Was good to meet you and put another face to a name. Hopefully see you again at the next meet ow this is getting fixed.
  17. I'm sure it'll come under this kind of price bracket, but Andy will no doubt confirm this for you soon . "To map customers own supply Power FC/Simtek/Autronic/Hydra is £280+v (GB > £240+v)"
  18. I'd be really tempted with that sort of cash to go and get this: Joe's Spec-C Blobeye
  19. If it's a weekend car, and you'd definitely be commuting by rail, it'd have to be option number 3 along with a forged engine build for me.
  20. Great race review Scott. Knockhill should be good with plenty of home support for you and Fee.
  21. Have you accounted for all the rubber seals from both sets of injectors? (I've just learned the hard way about how migrating washers can really ruin your day!!!!) What other work have you been doing on the car? You been fitting exhaust sections? Just trying to think what else, less sinister than a malfunction would cause you to have smoke then a burning smell. What is the smell? Rubber, oil, fuel?
  22. Please ignore this post, editied now that I'm sorted with a booking for the 2nd installment of my remap for next week
  23. Looking good there Bobby, you've done a good job .
  24. Don't worry, you'll find lots of helpful folk on here Franky, and we're not all quite as nuts as Neil. Nearly, but not quite . Give me a shout if you need a hand Franky. (I'll be having a wee look at my turbo tomorrow. Hopefully get to the bottom of why it's not boosting) Any joy yet with the bugeye you were talking about the other day?
