  1. Andy, my blobeye had an interior dark tinted sunstrip which was very effective in most sunshine and light conditions, meaning that I virtually didn't need to use the fold down visor (Maybe another few gramms you could save there too??). If I was faced with the choice that's what I'd go for, and keeps it nice and legal too .
  2. Sorry if this has been posted already, but here's the newest Gymkhana III vid (Just not the same in a Fiesta!!)
  3. Try AA Autobreakers in Bellshill, they're usually spot-on and have a few newages to choose from .
  4. Looking good Marko, looking good .
  5. Kenny, I passed my bike test 10 years ago, on the same week my 1st child was born. It was one of those things I'd promised myself to do, and thought that If I didn't do it before kids came along I probably wouldn't do it at all! Mind you, I've been on trail/Enduro bikes etc since I was about 9yrs old so the test itself was a piece of cake. I did one of those 3 day courses and passed without any faults, so I'd recommend them to anyone with previous biking experience . The ZX7R was the first bike that I wanted, and subsequently test rode after my test as well. I found it far too aggressive a riding position for everyday use. It puts lots of weight onto your wrists, and whilst some might say that you just need to ride faster to take the weight off them, I'd say as a new rider that the ZX7 wasn't deemed practical by me. I ended up going for an import GSXR400R, and like Craig McD's VFR400, it wasn't the fastest bike out there but handled impecably and would redline at silly revs so was lots of fun. I did a few track days at Knockers on this, and I'd say that for a bike especially. that's the best thing I ever did. Without lamp posts and brick walls to run wide into, it's the perfect way to hone your counter-steering skills and practice safely whilst getting to know yours and your bike's limits . I've had a few different bikes over the last 10 years including ZX6R, KTM 525exc, KTM 300exc, Triumph SprintRS & GSXR400RR, and I'm currently thinking about getting something along the lines of a Honda VTR1000 before next spring. Hope you get yourself sorted out with the bike licence Kenny, you'll love it mate.
  6. I passed a white one today as well, must say I liked the look of it better than the Impreza hatch.
  7. I had these Racetech ones fitted to an aftermarket clock surround: Refer back to this previous thread for more details Colin . ***Clicky thing for previous thread***
  8. Having just sold the scooby I was quick to replace it with another AWD car, so yes it is a characteristic I looked for when buying the scoob in the first place.
  9. Lovely looking Fozzy there Al, and just a tad more torque than my new beast too . Hope you enjoy this one for quite a while .
  10. If more folk went out cycling to see what it was like to be part of a chaingang, I'm sure motorists tolerance of them would be so much better. Richie, I'd agree with most of what you're saying. There certainly are a lot of "Knob" drivers out there without any common sense that put the lowly cyclist on the defensive. I've spent some time over in Holland, and because cycling is a huge part of their society mostly all of the roads give way to cyclists at intersections so the driver has no choice but to be careful and even stop. The occasional encounter with even a small group of cyclists is met with great fury and lots of gesticulating over here. Don't know the solution, but it's not nice to be on the receiving end of the abuse or poor driving, that's for sure!!
  11. No probs, thinking back I reckon I only had to loosen the light assembly to get access to the sidelight filaments. Glad you're all sorted .
  12. Just loosen the lamp unit and get enough room to change the bulb.
  13. Sorry to hear that Kenny. All that waiting and being fecked around, then to find out it was goosed!!! Feel for you mate. Why don't you just buy my sorted Blobeye?? I'll cut you a good deal and you can break or sell the bugeye??
  14. Think I spotted the car yesterday morning on the M8 heading East at about 7:30ish . I was in the FR.
  15. Ouch!!! Was that you finding out the hard way that RE070's are shoit in the wet?
  16. Of course I studied there! I studied the local lassies and public houses in great detail during my 10yrs at Leuchars on 111(F) Sqn.
  17. I was also up in St Andrews Sat-Wed just gone with the family and had the scooby with us too. Burbling around all my old haunts from when I was younger. Nice pic on the 18th fairway
  18. Just suggested it to my facebook pals too .
  19. Marko, If you've not got the room to keep the parts then DON'T just throw them out. There's not usually much money in OEM parts, but they always come in handy for fellow owners. Why not have a rummage through all your bits and post a list up in the for sale section?
  20. Aha, a 1.5ltr turbo petrol flat-4 variant??? Could this be the engine for the Toyota/Prodrive entry into the revised regs and downsized capacity WRC for 2012???
  21. Sorry Del, couldn't resist it. You're an easy target ;o)
