  1. How about Gold metallic flake all rally stickered up, with Anthracite wheels....photoshop anyone???
  2. I took over 400 pics in total, and binned around 100 of them as soon as I uploaded them, so these were just the pick of the bunch I suppose . Afraid that wasn't me. I had a pale blue Le Mans 2009 t-shirt on and a black baseball cap (Sun protection on the baldy napper). I was stood with Arch and the A2/3 mob near the control cabin. I think I started the day on around ISO 800, and turned it down to 400 by the end. I realised as soon as I checked the pics on the pc that I need to trun it down a bit more next time...but as you say, it's all about practice, and these were my first efforts . I'll try and get to Doune for the Sunday and try some more shots on 'S' and 200-100 ISO. I now know what sort of size to zoom in, and that I can crop and edit after I get them on the pc. Cheers .
  3. Tbh I only knew it was you because Arch's wife introduced me to your wife, but as I said, you were busy talking about your build and other modding stuff with Arch . Slap your coupon??? Nah, not me chief .
  4. I saw you there Peter with your family. Your kids were enjoying themselves by the look of it too . I even spoke to your good wife, but you seemed too busy talking techy things with Arch to bother you . I'll come over and say hello the next time for sure
  5. Here's a few more... Rebecca trying her hand with the lens!!!
  6. I was also at Kames on Sunday past. It was the first time I've taken some shots with a DSLR (Nikon D70 & AF Nikkor 75-300mm), so any constructive criticism from more experienced photog'swould be appreciated . The winning time was definitely a blur for everyone???

  8. Here's a couple of shots I got from Kames on Sunday. It's my first time trying to take shots with a DSLR (Nikon D70 & an oldschool AF Nikkor 75-300 lens). Any constructive criticism would be welcome so I can mess about with some more settings . I was going to post these up in the Photo thread, but they'll get shot down in flames, so I'll no bother . A few of Arch & Jac who came 1st & 3rd in their class respectively : The winning time was definitely a blur for everyone???
  9. Just buy an item or two a month, then when you've assembled everything get the remap booked with Andy or whoever . If your budget is that tight, then I'd maybe suggest that you lurk around waiting for some 2nd hand bargains to come up on here, scoobynet or even fleabay-(but be careful there). This little lot should see you with typical figures of around 285bhp without mapping too agressively, for around the £800 mark all-in: Classic standard uppipe fits and is catless (£30) Decat/Sportscat downpipe (£80-£120) If you want to keep it quiet then an STi backbox is the way forward (£30) Walbro 255lph fuel pump (Buy new at £60) K&N or Green cotton panel filter (£30-40) Remap initial cost (£500 + vat, or £460 + vat for a typical group buy) These are just rough figures for a cheapest buy option if you find the right bargains. Good luck with whatever you choose to do with your scooby
  10. Hi mate, For what it's worth I'll give you my opinion on what I would do if I were you. As has been mentioned previously, we don't get much nice weather even in the Summer, so for me that'd rule out the Porsche. I know it's a fair bit drier in the East, but arguably colder and windier too. Not the kind of weather I'd immediately be thinking about getting the most from a cabriolet . With having the magnificent scottish countryside, and the gateway to the Highlands not far from your doorstep I'd really lean heavilly towards another STi if I were you. It's really all cars for all people. It'll be perfect for our (crappy at times) roads, and tbh I don't like M3's so that would rule itself out straight away . Do you really need a car???? Remember you'll be a student, doing everything that students do Good luck with reaching your decision, but it'd be the scooby everytime for me.
  11. I'm liking those wee touches Marky Wheels look better btw
  12. I'd imagine you'd pick one up easily enough over on scoobynet? Or put a wanted post up on the main SIDC page .
  13. Hi and welcome, hope you enjoy the scooby ownership .
  14. If you just want a quiet backbox, I've got a newage STi one that's as quiet as any, that you can have for not a lot?
  15. Shell garage in Kilsyth had plenty V-power today.
  16. Let me know how you get on, and what sort of figures you get Maxy? That's same as my fit, except i'll have 650cc injectors, magnex headers and the sti tmic fitted. Not sure if my setup will achieve any more than yours, but will have a bit more protection built in hopefully?
  17. I think Scoobysailor is running a TD05 16g with pink injectors, decat turbo back system and STi TMIC? Going by his signature his figures after Andy F remapped it are: "MICA RED 01 BUGEYE WRX - 333BHP/324lbft - assembled by SW Motorsport, mapped by Andy Forrest and driven like an old lady by ME!" Hope this helps . P.S. I'm booked in with Andy for a remap after similar items fitted in 19 days, 18hrs and 49mins...Not that I'm counting !!!
  18. There's a similar thread over on SN about this too. Folk are not 100% yes or no to if it is a locked or unlocked Ecutek map by Prodrive on post 2001 PPP cars??? PPP Ecutek thread Why don't you fire off a quick email to Andy Forrest, that should clear it up one way or another?
  19. I was under the impression that Prodrive used ECUTek for their PPP remaps. Would that mean you would get a slightly cheaper 1st remap from the Andy Forrest, because it has a paid licence, but by another mapper? I'm sure someone will be along soon with some FACTS for you .
  20. Editied: Sent you a PM Cathy, don't know who's looking in here
  21. Admiral have my scoob protected fully comp with a named driver, and also the Seat Ibiza FR with protected NC & named driver combined for £540 when the renewal came in last week
  22. Or try using tinypic ( CLICK FOR TINYPIC ). You don't need to register & it's free to upload . Have a look through the next page or two on the forum for the "Post Pics Of Your Classic Impreza" thread, this is the Newage one .
  23. Were the Newage STi wagons not JDM only? There's a WR blue bugeye one kicking around Kirkie, looks and sounds good .
