  1. Here's a wee pic of our new blobeye WRX that some of you might recognise. It's got quite a few tasteful mods , and has changed a wee bit already in my 14hrs of ownership so far. With the fog and all, it's soo tricky to get some outdoor shots of it with the digi camera, so here's an archive one from when Pmac FTO had it (Irish Al had it from virtually new before that): My plan was to wait until the spring and get a 3rd car as an out-and-out toy, but having this instead makes a lot more sense for us. I'll see you at the Lanark meet next Thursday . Phil
  2. So do you not fancy a similar wee upgrade mod for your wagon then Richie? The missus would never notice the difference!
  3. On the way back from that region it was always an overnight stop at Akrotiri, so within a few hours the troops will be getting bladdered anyway . Good idea though .
  4. I had done that with a deal that Vodaphone and O2 were offering and Orange subscriptions basically said that the £140 deal was the best they could offer me, even after I suggested that I'd see out the remaining contract and be a free agent then .
  5. Was in the town today finishing off the Xmas shopping and just thought I'd pop into a mobile phone shop to see what upgrade offers they had available to me. I ended up with the phone I have been looking for recently as a free upgrade (SE Satio - 12Mp camera & lots of features), the same 700 mins X-network, 100 texts, unlimited landline calls and a 10% discount on my existing call plan. All this on a new 18 month contract. All I needed to do was phone up Orange when the sim became active and request the 500mB mobile internet at £5 a month extra. Sounded like a cracking deal, so off I went with new phone in hand. Got home much later, as shops were getting mobbed, and made the call to get the internet added, but yet another suprise was in store....It comes with free unlimited(Fair useage) mobile internet already enabled at no extra charge. The operator also chucked in a bundle of 50 picture messages to be used in the next 30 days for free (Handy over Xmas). So on top of the additional £1.50/month I'm also saving for having paperless bills, I've actually shaved around £4 off my monthly phone bill and have a £495 Satio with unlimited internet and the same call perks as I previously had . To say I'm well chuffed with it is an understatement. If you're with Orange and have less than 3 months to go till renewal, don't bother speaking to Orange Upgrades (They wanted £140 for the phone and call plan £10 more than this!!!). Go into an independant shop (phones4U in this instance) and let them get the best deal for you. I think you could be pleasantly suprised too .
  6. Looks nice mate . What was it like to drive with the PPP fitted? You got plans to fettle with it some more and remap it?
  7. Another newage scooby with plenty of horses and sensible mods!!!

  12. What sort of time do you normally get to The Harvester at? I'm working a dayshift on the 13th, but may be able to meet yous there for a while if things are quiet .
  13. Cracking clean car you got there. I'm liking the front seat headrests with the mesh in them . They remind me of my Dad's mate who used to take us out for a blast in his shiny new Capri many years ago!!
  14. Hello and welcome to the site Ian. Hope you enjoy your stay here, and remember to cut up your credit cards before the modding gets out of hand!!!
  15. Create a Poll and we'll take a vote on it (None, Mid or High level) .
  16. Put a mid-level spoiler on it. You should be able to pick one up for a few quid .
  17. Nice one Davy . I was just reading the write-up on your website about this today, so would be good to read what you've done with it since making it your track car .

  20. I've just registered my Drivers Club card online, but have had it for a long, long time. Any bets I don't have any points because it hasn't been registered online!!! Ciaran, they said that you have to give it 48hrs from receiving your confirmation email before you should logon and or change any of your details.
  21. Very tidy mate. I do like the STi wagons .
  22. There's one of the guys over here on the Scottish Scoobies section (Edinburgh) selling his early Blobeye STi with the factory fitted PPP (305bhp if I remember correctly?). It's on 43K miles and priced at £8495 ono. He just put it up for sale tonight, so could be a good option for you? Here's his link to the advert: Blobeye STi PPP For Sale Advert
  23. I got myself one of the 1/2 price Halfords Professional Tool set (£100 reduced from £200) and it has 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive ratchets and sockets along woth all the torx and spline drive tools you're ever gonna need. Also Hex keys, Spanners, Ratchet spanners, Impact sockets, Screwdrivers and a whole load more..... I think it also comes with a lifetime replacement warranty as well, so an absolute bargain!! All the 3/8" and 1/2" and most of the 1/4" sockets are bi-hex, which is a huge bonus too!! Every other week I'm getting emails from Halfords to say they've got tools at 1/2 price so just keep your eyes open and you'll get a great deal too Here's the kit I bought. You could probably order it online or resevre it at a store near you at this price - £99.99 1/2 price Halfords Professional Tool Set - £99.99 Hope this helps you buddy . Phil
  24. Ciaran, I'd phone them back up and tell them you made a mistake reading the odometer, and that it is comfortably within the agreed mileage, so ask for a new quote. When this written quote arrives in the post that'll be your proof of no claims etc. There's very little chance you'll get speaking to the same salesperson, so give it a try. I'd just check the person's name first before you go on to make your point. You've got £65 to gain and absolutely nothing to lose .
