  1. Try this place http://www.shiply.com/index5.php It's weho i used to get the Hawk from Litchfields to my place near Aberdeen. Worked out at about £1 per mile which was cheaper than train/flight, overnight accomodation and then the fuel to get home!

All safety camera sites covered by Partnership have a proven history of collisions and evidence of speeding vehicles. However, drivers may from time to time see mobile cameras at other sites where both vehicle and road users are at greater risk, such as road works.
  3. Most of the main places won't touch the Litchfield so i'm with Sky Insurance. Just got the renewal through and it's £900 even the C4 (1.6 VTS) is £330 to insure and i've got 12 years protected no cliams. Think i'll do some calling around and see what can be done. £212 sounds like a damn good quote. Admiral wanted £1200 off me to insure a blob WRX.

  6. http://www.vinyltechnics.co.uk/about-us-car-wrapping/ These guys do it. Basically it's wrapping stuff in sticky backed plastic! Any Blue Peter presenter would be great at it. Good for protecting the paintwork on a car, alot of high performance cars have the front end, bonnet and wings done.
  7. Could be worth getting it wrapped in protective film after it's been sprayed or get it wrapped full stop! I'm thinking about a splitter but the carbon option and thinking about the wrap to protect it before it goes on.
  8. In case anyone was wondering Operation Zenith is the Bike Safety Campaign Grampian Police are running.

  10. I've not had any tram lining issues on mine and i've got Falkens on it. The blob used to do it a bit, thats got 18'' on and the new one has 17'' fitted both of them have the same FK452's fitted. I spend more time weaving round pot holes than anything else though!
  11. Works for me, your's isn't bad either. All mine needs is the adjustable coilovers for it to be type 25 spec (oh and the porche brakes - but the performance friction kit works for me). I've sorted the whiteline goodies out including adjustable top mounts. When the dreaded damper knock starts i'll think about some AST coilovers till then it's fine as it is.
  12. Never got the chance to sit down with him but i have chatted to him on the phone a few times. Can't complain with the cars he sells it has to be said!
  13. Nice, can't knock the Litchfield gear..... Ian know's his stuff. The milltek will sound great when you get up above 5,000 rpm it screams like a banshee.
  14. looking decidedly good.
  15. It's alot better in the corners and feels alot more balanced than it did before. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad in the first place i just wanted it better set up for the fling and for future use.
  16. The litchfield is currently set up at front camber -1.08 front castor 5.51 front toe 0.04 Rear camber -1.14 rear toe 0.03 It has got full whiteline anti-lift kit, adjustable anti-roll bars and adjustable top mounts. Mine was all fitted and set up at Clark Motorsport but i think they use the same kit as Davey at Bitz. You can lower them they just need set up after and it can cause issues with the standard sruts wearing out quicker than they normally do giving the glorious knock. I've got a set of Tein lowering springs in the garage but i'm really not sure about fitting them, the car is stiff enough for me at the moment not sure i want it any lower or more bone rattling

  20. Looking good. My WRX seats went within 24 hours of being put up for sale when i put the STI ones into the Blob - only asked £50 for them to clear the room in the garage. Door cards are sat in the garage waiting to go on when i get half an hour.
  21. Well after the fuel leak has been fixed. I seem to be getting an extra 3mpg from the car.

  23. Oh poo.... forgot about the nice stone chip i got on the 'lost boys' trip to Gairloch. Call to the insurance company to see if it can be fixed, should be ok it's not spread. Since i got it on staurday then had the loop round Skye over all the cattle grids it should be ok for the repair job. Apart from that (and the fuel leak it had had since i got it) the Hawk is faultless. Got to say the Whiteline gear i had fitted worked a treat, always went where i pointed her and she never missed a beat. Definately had more confidence on the fling this year than i did last year, though the difference between the blob WRX and JDM Hawk STI really is like chalk and cheese. I'd only just got used to the Hawk when i had the whiteline kit fitted so i was still getting used to the handling before the fling, having new brakes fitted 3 weeks before probably didn't help either. Can't complain though she pulls like a train and corners like she's on rails and whn you hid the middle peddle the tarmac ripples in front of the car. Like the idea Al, maybe a call to Whiteline, AST, Litchfield Imports (i can fully recommend the twin scroll turbos' they do), Performance Friction and Tesco Momentum/Shell optimax would be something for the organiser of the fling to sort out! I'm more than willing to slap a few stickers on the car for a while
  24. My tyres look ok with no uneven wear and the car is back from Clark Motorsport after having the fuel pump seal reaplaced. Looks like it's had a bit of a seep for months which explains the smell of fuel i've been getting. That was the second impreza they'd had in with the same issue this week, looks like the pump seals are slightly fragile. All sorted though. The Performance Friction brakes are well bedded in now and it has to be said they stop the car like throwing an anchor out!
  25. It's called banter.... If I have offeneded anyone I appologise profusely and it won't happen again.
