  1. Well someone had to say it, to be honest i was expecting ScoUK to have bitten by now!
  2. Of course it could be seen as a way for the Hatch and Bugeye brigade to deflect some of the abuse they get onto the non-Impreza memebers
  3. Yup Impreza will become International so we can try and get anyone with a Subaru into the club not just Impreza. Personally i don't have an issue with it, hopefully it'll grow the club and bring more members and some different cars in. Lets be honest we already have member with Legacy's, Forresters so i don't see a problem. The more the merrier, can't wait for the fling when we have Forresters, Lagacy's and the odd BRZ along for the trip. Might help us fill track days and stands at shows as well. I think the Impreza's will remain the core of the club no matter what we call it. And i get the feeling much the name change at St James Park..... the die hards will always call it by the old name and not bother with the name change! Demonstartions outside the Chairmans house may be frowned upon.....
  4. Ooh sounds tempting.... like the previously talked about Isle of Man jaunt. I'll have to see what my new job brings but i could be up for a trip to land of the potato
  5. I got the Whiteline adjustable top mounts fitted to mine - won't work with coilovers though, std kit only. They just give more scope fro setting everything up for better handling. I'm in 2 minds about dropping mine a bit as well i picked up a full set of STI suspension with Tein springs to keep as spares for when the dreaded knock begins but the springs might go on. I have heard good things about the BC's though, having said that i was thinking about an AST set up. But i think that can wait for a while..... Maybe
  6. Has to be said i enjoyed it all but the best bit for me was after the 'lost boys' turned into 2 splinter groups. I was in front with the red snow plow behind me for the coast route into Applecross. The road was fiarly empty - apart from a bearded weirdo in a rover who didn't check his mirrors or move over for about 2 miles. Great bit of road with a few hairy moments when the road suddenly veered off over a blind bend - gave the Performance Friction brakes a work out, i can safely say they're bedded in now. But i took it a pace that wasn't mental and got to enjoy the road and the view and hopefully helped the newbie learn a bit about the car i did try to keep him in the mirror as much as possible and i think Alun enjoyed it as well. If the weather had of turned nasty he was going in front to clear the way though.... Mr Plow. Personally i though this year was better as the less progressive group were at a more normal pace. I have to agree with Al i'm not that fussed about nailing the car everywhere - last year for my first fling to be honest though i enjoyed it the Saturday was at some points mental. When the slow group has cars dropping back there's something up. Actually got to enjoy the scenery this year which was great!
  7. You're already 'special' Dave..... don't worry about that!
  8. i really musn't be trying hard enough then
  9. My link This is 6 minutes of one of the best roads i've ever driven along. After our break on the way up, it's up and over the top of Bealach-na-ba. I know it has my reg on there but that'll be changing when the private plate goes on, according to the RoadHawk camera i didn't go any faster than 52mph either...... felt faster than that at the time!
  10. Toyo's have pish sidewalls. Far too much give in them leaves the car feeling a bit numb and like it doesn't want to turn. It's the good old thing..... how much do you want to spend!
  11. Car back into Clark Motorsport after the fling to have a fuel leak looked at, hopefully it's a simple job!

  12. I've got Falken FK452's on the blob and the Litchfield. Couldn't fault them on the fling this weekend good in wet or dry conditions. There can be a bit more road noise than some other tyres but in a scoob you barely notice it over the stereo
  13. Here's one.... not mine by the way nicked the link from Facebook!

  20. Evening all got to say Lynne and myself had a cracking weekend. Sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye but we had to get back before her kids were dumped on the doorstep at 6. Got in with 20 minutes to spare after a run up Loch Ness and across to Aberdeen. Got the pics loading onto Photobucket i'll put some up as soon as i can and once i figure it out i'll get some of the footage up from the in car camera. 23. No worries i'll see ya's there at some point. i might go a more scenic route to try and get the brakes bedded in a bit more! Aberdeen to Inverness Via Lossiemouth and Aviemore.....
  24. What time will everyone be getting into Inverness. I should be there anytime after about 2. Oh had a thought, we should all bring a spare set of keys and give it to someone else to look after just in case we have a repeat of last years shenanigans at Ullapool!!!!!
