  2. Fasteners arrived today, 5 minutes later all sorted. As a bonus i've got a crap load of fasteners for next time it happens
  3. Clark Motorsport are dealers for whiteline but Kintore is a bit of a drive for you. http://www.clarkmotorsport.co.uk/ I'm sure RA in Perth were whiteline dealers as well.
  4. just needs fastened back into place. It was the way it bent baco on it's self towars the rear of the car the only way i could get it back into shape was to jack it up fully. Trolley jack and axle stands on standby for when the new fasteners arrive
  5. Bit of an adventure today heading to Elgin to drop the daughter off at home. Came round a corner to be confronted with a flooded road. Didn't have time to slow down to a crawl and went into it at a slightly higher speed than i would have liked. As i crawled out of the other side of ocean there was a loud scraping noise and things weren't right. Pulled into a layby to find the underfloor trim on the passenger side bent double (about 2ft of it) and now attached by about 3 fasteners. To sort it out i had to jack the car all the way up and kick the trim back into the right direction. Still flapping in the breeze all the way to Elgin and back to westhill. Luckily it was just some plastic trim and nothing more serious or mechanical. After much searching i think i've got the right fasteners from E-Bay on the way and the trim is tie wrapped up till they arrive. There was a flooded road sign coming from the elgin way but not heading too elgin for some reason.

  16. Here's the update to add in details form the Northern Safety Camera Partnership Mobile Safety Camera Unit Deployment w/c 18 July 2012 Northern Safety Camera Partnership Manager, Dougie Bennion, said: “The high volume of traffic on our roads at this time of year, particularly the A9, means that it’s even more important that drivers keep to a safe appropriate speed and show courtesy and consideration towards other road users:- * If other drivers cause problems try to understand that they may be inexperienced, or may not know the road as well as you do. * If you are driving a slow moving vehicle pull in to allow other vehicles to pass as frustration can cause drivers to overtake at inappropriate locations and speeds. * If a vehicle pulls out into your path at a junction, slow down and hold back, allow the vehicle to get clear and don’t over-react by driving too close behind it. “Good manners can go a long way to help improve safety on our roads and may even be enough to avoid a collision.” During the week commencing Monday, 18 June 2012, mobile safety cameras will be deployed at the following locations: Caithness and Sutherland A9 Caulmaillie Farm, by Golspie A9 south of the Mound, by Golspie A949 Evelix Road, Dornoch A882 Watten Ross & Cromarty B817 Shore Road, Invergordon A9 Fearn, by Tain A834 Strathpeffer Road, Dingwall A835 Inverlael Straight, near Ullapool A87 Shiel Bridge and Kyle (villages) A832 Avoch Inverness A82 Invergarry Power Station A82 Alltsigh Youth Hostel, by Invermoriston A9 Daviot, by Inverness A9 Altnasleanach, by Inverness B9006 Cantraybruich, east of Sunnyside, Culloden, Inverness Milton of Leys to the New Inshes School/Stevenson Road Badenoch, Strathspey & Nairnshire A9 near Dalwhinnie A9 north of Dalwhinnie A9 Cuaich, by Dalwhinnie Lochaber A82 White Corries, Rannoch Moor A82 Kingshouse Hotel, Glencoe A9 (T) Between Latheron and Thurso *Please note that the deployment schedule may be subject to change according to operational priorities and weather conditions. 18. hmmm looks like i'll be buying some aero catches then!
  19. Spray can from Halfrauds mate and match the mesh to the wheels..... it's what i did. I didn't look right without the mesh when i tried out today. Fortunately i'd already decided the mesh was getting sprayed so it went straight on. Didn't ralise how big the scoop was but i'm liking it
  20. easy to fit actually. the air guide plate and water spray come off with about 6 8mm bolts then the scoop is held on with a few clips and about 8 8mm nuts. The replacement is held on with 10 bolts all in it took about 40 minutes and that included messing about with the mesh.
  21. I think it came from Revolution. They were stripping down their race/demo car from last yaer and were selling the bits off so i got it for about £75-80 if i remember correctly. Which for what it is really isn't a bad price. Just took a bit of work to spray the mesh and it looks alot better.
  22. Well after spending 6 months enclosed in bubble wrap in the corner of the garage I finally got round to slapping on the Seibon Carbon Scoop this morning. I didn't realise how much bigger than the std scoop it was but it'll do the job. Not liking the look of the silver mesh i sprayed it the same colour as the wheels - anthracite. I did try it with and without the mesh and it really didn't look right without it so anthracite mesh it is. Now thats on I wonedr how long it'll be before i sturt to buy more of the mighty weave!
