  1. It's on my to-do list for the next week. Wash, clay, seal and wax the 2 scoobys and possibly the C4. I've got all the gear in the garage including clay bar (tried it once) and a rotary buffer that i've never even plugged in! Hopefully there'll be a nice enough day in the next week or two.
  2. The new beast arrived today..... Citroen C4 VTS for the work commute (when i get a job it'll be for that anyway)

  4. Well the RoadHawk arrived today. Had it installed in about 10 minutes with the cables tucked up into the roof lining and down behind the A-pillar and through the dash to reach the 12V supply to run it. The system is easy to set up with all the info going onto the memory card which then runs the system. Updates are doen that way as well. It even has a readout for MPH on it once it's up and running. Took it for a quick blast and the picture quality for both cameras is good enough for me. Once i've used it for a while i'll probably stick up a review in the reviews section!
  5. Thats the Roadhawk RH-2 in car camera here and fitted in 10 minutes. Easy to use and decent picture quality

  8. http://www.hypershop.org/roadhawk-driver-safety-cameras/roadhawk-rh2-twin-camera-system.html With the biggest 16gb card it'll take. Should be fine for what i need it for. Bit of fling footage and a safety net for just in case the worst happens. Obviously if i'm upside down in a ditch on fire and it was my fault the card can burn... if it was someone elses fault i'll get 3rd burns to proove it wasn't me! I'm sure i heard about the Youtube footage somewhere else and the mech was fired and the garage are still claiming it was a one off.... I'll stick with Clark Motorsport i think...
  9. Just ordered one of those Roadhawk 2's with the 16gb card. Could lead to some nice footage from the fling! it'll come in handy for the half wits round Fochabers who have an inbuilt inability to use roundabouts properly/drive in general who keep trying to smash my car up with theirs!
  10. I'm sure i'd posted about it on here and i'm not the only one who's done it either. You never know it's better than having knackered suspension again. Could be a bush i suppose or anti-roll bar. Is it standard kit or have you had it uprated at all. My hawk makes some awful noises since the whiteling kit was fitted. Speed bumps over 5mph sound like the front shocks are trying to exit through the bonnet. Might have get that looked at...
  11. Have you checked the obvious things. Jack is secure, spare wheel, wheel brace, etc. I had a weird metallic sound on the blob for months, came and went annoyed me for ages. Found an empty can of de-icer under the passenger seat one day when i was cleaning it, the kids had kicked it under the seat and 'played footy' with it when we were out and about. I could have played footy with them.... If you haven't done that many miles it shouldn't be a shock, unless it was faulty when it went on or started to leak on the way home!
  12. A couple of minutes from my gaff.... one of the few places to go for a pint in Westhill. If you head in along the nice little twisty road from the A96 you'll pass my place to get into westhill

  13. I use Autoglym metal polish on my cars. Takes some time to get it looking good but it's worth it...
  14. If only that was true.... The New Liabour goverment we had changed it (under Mr Broon) to Road Fund Licence so they could spend the money on whatever they wanted. In the old road tax was just that and used for the roads. Under the new wording Mr Broon could spend it on whatever he wanted as it was there to let you use the roads but not neccesarily be spent on the roads. It was the start of motorists being taken for every possible penny by them and the coilition that's following them. If only the money we pay went to keeping the roads in good condition we'd have the best roads in the world. I did laugh when they tried taxing 'gas gusslers' and 4 wheel drives' off the roads for the sake of the planet..... then ask for help from them when the crap weather hits as there aren't enough 4 wheel drives being used by councils, etc as they can't afford to run them now. I know one guy in a 4 wheel drive club who when asked for help e-mailed his local MP asking if he'd get a reduced rate on his car tax for helping.... Strangely he never got a reply! Could have been something to do with the way he worded it about about being taxed to death for having a car then being asked to rescue the council/government because they were useless...
  15. Enjoy it guys get some pics up..... I'll be on the hunt to see what the Aussies are doing to their Scoobies. Might get some ideas to bring back. Apparently there's loads of them round where i am so we'll see. All i've seen so far is 1 civic and loads of pickups (sorry utes), ford falcons and Holdens. Might have to hire a big V8 muscle car just to see what they're like. Unless i can find a scoob to hire of course!
  16. I'll fire you a PM before the fling Dave. I might have a job by the time the fling comes along but the current plan is to head for Inverness on the friday time depends on when the wenches Ex decides he can have his kids for the weekend..... being a pain in the arse as usual. 4 months notice just gives him a weekend to plan stuff for.
  17. Saw that last week and watched it again tonight. Looks like a fun road i watched the clip on youtube from the fling 2 years ago and can't wait to give it a drive.

  20. Oh dear the perrin wing stiffies have arrived. Now the question is do i leave them plain black or go for the carbon wrap look?

  21. Thats the whiteline goodies ordered. Should have it all fitted by Thursdsay hopefully. Front & rear adjustable anti-roll bars, anti-lift kit and adjustable top mounts. Wonder how much the insurance will go up by?

  23. Trust me things take time over there..... It took them nearly 2 months to sort my membership pack. That was with PM's, emails and posts in the right place. I'll pop something up in the wild hope that an admin spots it Message posted!
  24. yeah thats it..... Community then 5 down is 'Newbies'. If i remember correctly though you don't have full access until your account has been activiated!
  25. Thats the reason i avoided a new STI or anything with the 2.5L engine fitted. A nice JDM 2.0L will do me and the tax is half the price for the 2.5...... When i asked the local dealer he gave me the 'party line' on badly modded, not designed for that sort of power, etc.
