  1. dont believe he does on this car...... yet anyway (just wait to see if peter gets his way)
  2. when its the moderator who made the initial comment you don't stand much chance. don't think i ever saw the previous car so will need to make an effort to see this one when its complete.
  3. yeah the extreme series of pads are not the same as the m series pads of which the 1155's are very popular. i've got them and about the cheepest you will find 1155's is 80-90 (4 pots mind you not brembo) depending on where you look.
  4. so do we all chip in and just leave one at knockhill for the weekends then? would love to see one of these things fly never mind have a shot.
  5. if i remember correctly the saloon versions are for the american market only, reason being they are being built in america and not japan like the rest of the range so expect them to do 30,000 miles and then collapse to bits. also doubt they will get wrx or sti models of them.
  6. great pics as always. trying to work out how the back left tyre is still on the wheel on the volvo?
  7. now that is complete we can start on discussions such as turbo upgrade, bigger injectors and defi's..... ha ha!!! the bug will never stop.
  8. for me it was the back left window seal. came in at around 85. it was easier for me to tell though as that window was even letting water in when the weather was bad. if you can find 3 willing passengers then they should be able to help you work out which corner of the car its from.
  9. if your reading this and don't have a digital tv beside your computer you are already missing it.
  10. now there is a man who knows his gigs. indeed it is that same festival. i wouldn't give up that one week a year for anything else.
  11. To avoide the map your after a downpipe back setup with i believe is 3 pipes as standard on the hawkeye however most decat center pipes replace both the short cat pipe and center section. where you would have had downpipe - cat - center - backbox you would be wanting downpipe - aftermarket center - aftermarket backbox although i do stand to be corrected on this.
  12. ok everything you've said so far is all good as far as i can tell make sure you get proper geometry done when the springs get done. is the car needing de-tangoed because that always helps with the looks. possibly new wheels but if remap is beyond budget im guessing new shoes are to... then i believe you save for turbo, decat pipes and fuel pump and then have the hand of god touch the ECU for you.
  13. Well as someone who was never a rally fan for well.... pretty much until i got my Scooby and met you lot... i though it was a very well put together show for the uninitiated. It covered the basics of the rules and let me know who everyone is so that i can enjoy following the coming season. I would also second the to few manufacturers comment however i don't know if this is normal for WRC or if I am just to used to the loads of teams in F1 which is what i pretty much grew up watching. Looking forward to the actual events now... common Subaru!!!
  14. wonder how many of those jumps the car would survive? awesome video.
  15. working fine for me imy. grab me on msn if your having problems.
  16. gus yer mental but i understand that needs must. That fozzy was one of the most comfortable cars I have ever been a passenger in. looking forward to see what you can do with the legacy... (and wondering how long till the lust for a turbo gets to much)
  17. Well i highly recommend a wee camp site 5 mins (3 miles) outside Banbury. Its called Barnstones and is in the small village of Great Bourton. Been camping there for a week every year for the last 11 years for a music festival i attend so I don't see any reason why I wouldn't use it again. Toilets and showers available on site. Nice we pub only 2 mins walk and your only 5 mins from Banbury its self..... wishing i was there now. If i remember its only about £6-£8 a night for a tent.
  18. Good to see the official announcement going out. Going to be an event to remember.
  19. hmm... apart from absolutely horrid i reckon that could actually be done properly. using the newage front is fine however they need to do a wide arch section at the back to balance it out.
  20. shouldn't think there would be a problem with that setup.
  21. replacing the panel filter on an impreza dosn't require a remap. fits in the airbox just like the standard filter. very common and very easy upgrade for the car. helps the airflow out without it being as big a change as an induction kit which you normally need a remap for.
  22. TOTB - Ten of the Best SSO - Scooby Shoot Out Or i believe that's it anyway. Would love to go to both just to watch one year. *Higgy your just to fast for me*
  23. Code for the plug from the dealers - PN46059FA000 Enjoy
  24. my00 as you have its pretty straight forward. done it to mine. remove the front scoop in the engine bay. the whole that will be left by it can be covered over with a blanking plate from an impreza sport. this you can get at the dealers for about £8 i think. will lookout the part number later as i should have it somewhere. i just remember it being called a plug and the guys at s&s not having a clue what i was on about till i showed them where it went. jack up front right and remove wheel (trust me for the effort of taking the wheel off its so much simpler. carefully remove the plugs holding in the wheel arch lining. yes you will probably brake them but there only a couple pounds at the dealers. (ive got some lying around from a previous fix) ok now undo the couple of bolts holding in what could possibly be the ugliest piece of plastic on your car. (some in engine bay and some from underneath) now every how to on this says it should just drop out with a lot of wiggeling but I couldnt get it. i ended up loosening the front bumper on that side to give myself extra room to move it about as the bumper support was in my way. once its out toss it to the side. while your at it if you look at the airbox you'll see that its opening its actually a larger circle with a smaller one stuck round it. i took the airbox completly out the car and removed the extra bit of plastic to open up the entrance to the airbox. larger hole = more air flow. its only held on by 3 clips and was only helping the resonator stay put but without it who needs it. now this is where its up to you. if you do get the plug and cover the gap then it will mostly be taking cold air in from the wing however there will be a small gap between the airbox and the wing. i stuck some rubber draft excluder (any diy store) around the opening so that there is a perfect seal between the airbox and the wing. only place its getting air from now is the wing. All in it took me about an hour and apart from some swearing trying to get the damn thing out (and if i ever sell the car it aint going back in) If i recall correctly http://www.scoobymods.com/ has got some very good write ups on how to do all this and if you register there was even pics of the different stages. thats where i got how to do it from. best of luck.
  25. I shall raise a pan galactic gargle blaster in your honour good sir. Ok more seriously well done with what you have helped the club achieve mate and all the best with the black ops stuff..........
