  1. that was the one that took me a few reads to get. still brilliant though.
  2. so far the computer has now been running fine at my house now for the last couple hours. partitions are messed up and its full of all the usual junk a pc gathers that hasn't been formatted in a long time however no crash so far. things of note so far is a strange noise from psu even when the computer is off so even if its not that i would still replace it. also there are no case fans yet the graphics card is a passively cooled FX 5200. will see if i have any kicking about i can add in. currently running prime 95 to stress the cpu to the hilt and really heat it up. 3d mark 05 ready to go afterwards to stress the graphics. if that doesnt work a mix of both just might. this could be an interesting few hours...
  3. To avoide the map your after a downpipe back setup with i believe is 3 pipes as standard on the hawkeye however most decat center pipes replace both the short cat pipe and center section. where you would have had downpipe - cat - center - backbox you would be wanting downpipe - aftermarket center - aftermarket backbox although i do stand to be corrected on this.
  4. I'll have a look at it for you no problem mate. With some testing and part swapping im sure we can work out whats up with it. Just need to arrange when / where to meet so i can collect the tower from you. Your more than welcome to come round and watch me work on it if your worried. Also all contents found within your hard drive would be held in the strictest confidence.... just ask grant. God damn what a collection............. or rally videos. pmacFTO also mentioned it could be heat related. If you find your getting the computer to work after leaving it for a period of time to rest then this could be the problem. Try running the computer for now with the side panel off to let more air in to see if that helps. I'll strip down the computer and rebuild it anyway as a matter of course to clean out all the dust. As for upgrading i would only advise what to do only once i see the existing parts. As cheep as parts are these days your existing bits will decide if your better with a new build or not. I'll pm you my mobile mate in case the computer does go kaput. (which if it does will hopefully be after you get the mobile number)
  5. just made me wonder.... what pc is he posting to the forum from because if it is the dodgy one then we might not get a reply.
  6. Not to jump later onto the bandwagon here.... however from what little you've given it could be one of many things still. The failing to boot on previous known good settings is a worry as windows is actually pretty good at sorting its self out when things go wrong. Power Supply. (If you can get into the bios leave the pc for 15/20 minutes and then check the voltage levels. in the bios your computer can't slow the cpu down so it will hit full load and stress the power supply) Motherboard. (dosen't need to be all of it, just the IDE / SATA controller failing would cause this) Hard drive. (if you can get that plugged into a second pc to get your data back off then i would be doing it about now just in case) Corrupt windows install. (you could try a repair install with the xp cp however i would always prefer a format first before installing the os) Have your tried booting into safe mode? Press F8 a couple of times after powering up the computer. This will get past most windows issues to check if you can still even run the computer. Sorry i can't be more help but its the kind of thing where I could spend hours writing about possible problems before i know solutions.
  7. ok everything you've said so far is all good as far as i can tell make sure you get proper geometry done when the springs get done. is the car needing de-tangoed because that always helps with the looks. possibly new wheels but if remap is beyond budget im guessing new shoes are to... then i believe you save for turbo, decat pipes and fuel pump and then have the hand of god touch the ECU for you.
  8. Well as someone who was never a rally fan for well.... pretty much until i got my Scooby and met you lot... i though it was a very well put together show for the uninitiated. It covered the basics of the rules and let me know who everyone is so that i can enjoy following the coming season. I would also second the to few manufacturers comment however i don't know if this is normal for WRC or if I am just to used to the loads of teams in F1 which is what i pretty much grew up watching. Looking forward to the actual events now... common Subaru!!!
  9. sorry wasn't there tonight guys. cash flow is a bit tight. will be up soon.
  10. wonder how many of those jumps the car would survive? awesome video.
  11. outstanding joke that one. nice find imy.
  12. Go on you know you want to the add the might Colin vanNISHtelory to that lineup. Please for the love of god sign him. we don't call him pishy down here for nothing! As for the selling of your players that matter mate at least you guys got some reasonable money for yours and your club is almost debt free. killie are at about -10 million and our two best players (and top goal scorers in the league) both left for a pittance of there actual worth.
  13. most common one is the cr2032 however your existing battery should say on it which one you need to replace it. Maplin probably handiest place for them these days (even many pc shops don't stock them as most computer don't last long enough to need the battery replaced) for now just don't unplug your computer from the mains and the standby voltage will help it remember the settings. the cmos battery only kicks in when the computer has no power source at all. have fun.
  14. working fine for me imy. grab me on msn if your having problems.
  15. gus yer mental but i understand that needs must. That fozzy was one of the most comfortable cars I have ever been a passenger in. looking forward to see what you can do with the legacy... (and wondering how long till the lust for a turbo gets to much)
  16. Well i highly recommend a wee camp site 5 mins (3 miles) outside Banbury. Its called Barnstones and is in the small village of Great Bourton. Been camping there for a week every year for the last 11 years for a music festival i attend so I don't see any reason why I wouldn't use it again. Toilets and showers available on site. Nice we pub only 2 mins walk and your only 5 mins from Banbury its self..... wishing i was there now. If i remember its only about £6-£8 a night for a tent.
  17. congrats mate. bonnie we girl there. best of luck with the housework
  18. Good to see the official announcement going out. Going to be an event to remember.
  19. when a car costs less than my years insurance you have to wonder if its worth getting one to save the scooby. of course if it was ever released here they'd want 4 grand for it which defeats the purpose.
  20. hmm... apart from absolutely horrid i reckon that could actually be done properly. using the newage front is fine however they need to do a wide arch section at the back to balance it out.
  21. shouldn't think there would be a problem with that setup.
  22. if that was the case im sure there would be more interesting things than normal police work to handle... like going deep undercover for long periods of time.
  23. replacing the panel filter on an impreza dosn't require a remap. fits in the airbox just like the standard filter. very common and very easy upgrade for the car. helps the airflow out without it being as big a change as an induction kit which you normally need a remap for.
  24. TOTB - Ten of the Best SSO - Scooby Shoot Out Or i believe that's it anyway. Would love to go to both just to watch one year. *Higgy your just to fast for me*
