dude if your happy i am not going to complain about it. hope you enjoy but i wonder how fast your pc would have been new out the box as well before use. Anyways for me its windows for my gaming and linux for tinkering. Still i will give you they do look good

well i can reveal that it is now sorted and working and he is back online however I shall let the man himself post up later when he gets back in what the actual problem was... lets just say my feelings towards AOhelL are justified.

another thing to check with aol is the username you are using to connect the modem with needs to have an unfiltered aol account. it can't have any of aol's age filters for content on it etc... you got the router model number handy so i can refresh my memory on belkin router layouts.

problem with factory defaults is that is means setting your router up again and if your anything like me with the amount of custom security and firewall rules and filters it takes me a couple hours to do a setup again after a reset (my solution is that i actually have a couple of routers set up as hot spares with only the most basic settings for testing) by all means try a reset if you run out of ideas but not because the stupid aol tech thinks thats the first thing you should do so they can keep you on the phone longer to talk you through setting it back up..... only for it still not to work.

Licensing laws on uk radio broadcasts are worse than any red tape and rules you've had to jump through so far. I believe anything with a range over a couple meters needs a complete broadcast licence. Nice idea but not worth the hassel i'm afraid.

Could be one of a million things mate. If you have swaped the modem and know both are correctly set up and it still won't get a line then I doubt its your hardware. Is the line syncing and then not connecting or does it not even reach that stage? Hate to state the obvious but do you have a micro filter in every phone point in the house? Also a good way to check is to take the front face plate of your BT socket and plug the modem directly into the test port as that is the main connection to your phone line. If it dosn't work there i'd be on to AOL and tell them to get there thumb out. Will pm you my mobile number in case you get in and its still goosed and we can try and talk through it.

it allows more controller boost settings than just a remap mate. i believe it allows different levels for each gear and will also let you adjust the boost yourself manually if your feeling brave. also if your higgy you can use it to slow your car down so the rest of us can try and keep up. handy items but depending on what your goal is its not always necessary.

having had a standard one for a week as a courtesy car i can say they are stunning to look at and to drive and while they may not be as quick as the scoob i can defiantly see why people would want one. if they have improved the handling and tweaked it like only prodrive can then i'm sure it will be a success.

could you not make up a we bracket for it that would keep it close to where it is but with the ashtray closed?

This set is the closest they now do to the ones i owned. HD 280 Pro Stunning quality for £66 and if you break the cable you can replace it for under a tenner. Just noticed they now do it with a mic which would be good for my gaming but at an extra £100 on top i'll pass for now.

Sennheiser for me as well. used there stuff all the way through my music tech degree and i miss them to this day. (brother being the cause of death for both sets, replacing the cables was fine when he broke them but breaking a driver is the end) In general there full cover headphones are fantastic and up to about the £200-£300 bracket you do get what you pay for. beyond that you really get into the world of diminishing returns. I can't comment so much on ear phones but they would be the first place i would start if shopping for them. Currently use a Sennheiser gaming set for pc use as they have a built in boom mic but they don't have the sound of a proper dedicated headset. damn it your making me want to spend money here!!!
