  1. Did your seats come with Subframes? If not, what are you going to for them?
  2. Nice car, also sits really low, I like that aggressive stance and of course the splitter makes it all the better!
  3. Cool. My seats are already fitted with runners, so I just need subframes, right? That Seats4U place that you posted up doesn't have them in stock - so if you can think of any other alterntives mate, it would be appreciated
  4. Side mounts and subframes... what's the function of side mounts. Paul I contact the company you supplied the link for in the Items Wanted section, but they don't have any frames Looks like I'll be sitting on these seats for a while - pardon the pun!
  5. Well done! let me know where you get your subframes from
  6. I'm wondering why you splashed all that dosh for big brakes to use them normally. Hope you get them sorted.
  7. How cool! that is the same mount as mine, might give that a try on the open road. i'm surprised they let you away with that! Did you ask or jsut go ahead and do it?
  8. You know you will. From what I have heard you have spent a ton of money on it not to mention all the effort that has been put in.
  9. Oh great! Hope you're wrong about that or that is another reason to get stopped! Edit to say: On second thoughts, that can't be right because rally cars are road legal which of course they wouldn't be if harnessess were illegal. Just a thought, will probably be wrong as usual.
  10. Yes, the front of the Hawkeye was extended to increase safety, i.e. crumple zones and energy absorption in case of a front on shunt. When I had my splitter on, it scraped its way on every ramp going down and up, it was a painful and butt-clenching moment each time. I avoided multi-stories thereafter and still wont go in even now that its gone. So don't!
  11. Yeah the lap belt does ride up and its a pain, though once the racing seats are in, this wont happen as the belts come through the holes in the sides of the seats which hold the belts down. As for the CG Lock; I still have mine and it works well, not as well as a harness but to be honest, the CG Lock is pretty remarkable for what it is. I'm not really buying into the arguement that says if harnessess are safer than standard belts in a road car, then all cars would be fitted with them on all seats. I'm sure car manufacturers would not want to pass that expense onto the consumer as this sort of safety measure would be deemed as excessive. Standard belts appease safety standards and laws, therefore, why go all those extra miles for something that is OTT? When I'm belted in, I'm secured tightly to the seat. As I said though, its easy enough to give some slack when required and I almost never drive with the belts on with full tension. I will have a look at securing the belts in the seatbelt thing as suggested, that is, if I can work out how to get into those bolts.
  12. Thanks for the pics etc. Can anyone tell me why this set up is dangerous? I mean I have an idea of what people would say, but I'd like to hear it from wise heads
  13. Maybe I would, if I knew what they were and where they where. JW
  14. Looking forward to the Spec G MkII - maybe that one will be faster than the JW340
  15. Yeah, but you just quickly slip the straps out a little at the buckle, then once you take off, tug down on them again to tighten them up. Generally I don't have them full on tight anyway, so its not too much of an issue. However, If I'm making some spirited but legal progress along a junctionless road, I'll tighten them up. For the track they are on full tightness!
