  1. Get yourself a set of spare wheels with tyres especially for the track.
  2. LOL!!! Yeah, maybe your next mod should be a pair of troosers! LOL!!!! Sorry couldn't resist, I just mentioned to my wife before I read your post and I got grief and flak for even saying the word, "track". She's not a gal for buying fancy clothes, shoes and bags, so I have no come back. Let me know if you get a good price on those troosers; I'll need a pair too!
  3. You need to show me all this new stuff at a meet Kevin - I hate getting left out!!!!
  4. Well that clears all that up and good on you for coming on and explaining your side of the argument. What isn't cleared up though is the undoubted confusion this will cause in the future. Let's face it, we don't refer to organisations by the full "Sunday name” with the dot-whatever at the end, we shorten things to make them punchy and user-friendly. So ScottishScoobies.net or .co.uk will inevitably become synonymous in the eye of the ordinary user. Wouldn’t it make sense to drop the name and register something else along similar lines. I understand that following through on the above suggestion will likely cause money if you have purchased a hosting package, so it might not be workable. However, if you simply purchased the name on its own, then it wouldn’t have cost you that much. Just a suggestion, as I can’t be bothered telling Subaru owners/future members that: “I post on Scottish Scoobies, that’s Scottish Scobbies DOT co DOT uk, there is another site blah blah blah...” See? Anyhoo, just to reiterate, nice of you to come and explain your position.
  5. Coooool pics! The one of the chick is defo my fave
  6. I don't think it looks all that shiny, sorry But the car itself is extremly nice and very individual looking. Love it
  7. I like it and perfect for the missus, but I wouldn't be averse to driving or owning it. I don't buy into the "couldn't afford teh 911 then" thing. My retort would be, "well it's better than that heap of calk Mondeo your driving!" Besides a Porche is a Porsche. That S2000 though, that looks HOT!
  8. Only 15 cars? Much is that costing you for the session, if yae dinna mind me asking How long does the session run for?
  9. I'm terrified to ask much that little lot is costing you!!!
  10. Depends on what your goals are mate. If you are going to track it, then yes, those mods will be a good start along with some coilovers and geometry settings
  11. In fact, what am I thinking about! I got a gear box replaced under warranty with a turbo, exhaust, suspension, remap and a raft of other mods done. You'll be cool!
  12. I doubt very much if the changes you're propsosing would affect warranty. However, if the stealer wanted to be awkward about it, then they might. but if your changing to COs, whats the worry? I have a couple of sets of brake disks done under warranty with several suspension upgrades and I know of other who have had shocks replaced with lowering springs installed. You really should be ok
  13. Droplinks wont compromise the ride quality in the slightest. Hypertech did my Whiteline ARB free not so long ago, so yeah, I'm pretty sure they still do free fitting on Whiteline stuff.
  14. If you can't see replies, how did you see that one!?
  15. Well, its defo on my wish list, but not for a long while yet. By the time I can afford it, I'll be too old to enjoy it, but yes I'd like to install a turbo capable of 400bhp and the box to handle it. Gotta be the box first though but for the present, I'm contenting myself with some cosmetic mods.
  16. Well the box will come with a DCCD... if I ever get to uprating to the STi job
  17. Pistons and shells (internals). I think Dunc would have suggested conrods while he was in there, cause he suggested a few other things. I am assuming that they are the same since he didn't.
  18. Me too. Craig, did you get my text re. MOT?
  19. I was wondering if anyone knew if the conrods used in the WRX and STi engines from MY06 onwards are the same, and what level of power these are expected/able to handle. If they are not the same, does anyone know what level of power each of the conrod types can safelty handle? I'm guessing/hoping that they are the same Cheers JW
  20. Dead battery? I say that because on occasion when I have disconnected the battery to clear the ECU, the alarm goes off cosntantly and obvioulsy the central locking and interal light wont work.
  21. Ah cool! All makes perfect sense now
  22. It's hard enough trying to understand the concepts and processes discussed in these posts/articles wihtout using acronymns minus the explanation! What is IAM, or what does it stand for? Once I know that, I can perhaps get a handle on the discussion!
