I've got a silver classic and go onto GWR every day ,what time do you see it at.

jodie , do you recon the guy talking about a blocked breather , might be the case , do i need to do more investigation ? dont want to get crank seal done and it goes again . I have been told the crank seals are common .

mick , depending what model you have . aftermarket flywheels are available .ADL Blueprint do replacement flywheels for impreza's upto about 02 i think , they cost just shy of £200 .

hi all , looking for some hints on this one please , i have a (99) turbo , now and again i get some smoke from under the bonnet . it is not dark smoke . i have been told it may be the front crankshaft seal caused by maybe a blocked breather pipe , i am not very upto date on these engines so need help . local mechanic i use said it could just be wear and tear on the seal but also caused by back pressure . Any ideas will be very much appreciated thanks

right it gets a bit strange now, came home from work last night and thought i would try my luck with the car and it started first turn of the the key. Not beleaving that i heard the car start i turned it off and tried again, and it started again. going to try my luck this morning to see if it will start and might take it to work to give it a run. will let you a know how i get on later today. ps. can you give me the address of the seedhill place and if needed a contact name. cheers. s

i know the earth was repaired a year or so a go under the screen wash bottle so it might not be that, also if it was the ignition relay surely it would'nt start if it was ok on monday and fecked by wednesday morning this week. this is way its been going in and out of the garage. they keep telling me its the starter but the last starter was only in for a week before it stopped working , then they replaced the wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid. and once again back to square one.

so what do you guys think i should do next.

right i'm a bit thick in the engine dept, can you tell me what that is in plain english please.

hi everybody looking for some advice on my car ( my97) been having some trouble (extremely annoying). It has been in and out of the garage. When i turn the ignition key the engine is just clicking and not starting. I have replaced the battery, starter (replaced 4 times and even tried the trick of hitting the starter) and also the cable from the egnition to the solenoid. The only problem is it seems to be intermitten fault. I can get the car pushed and not even two car lengths the car is starting. Please help as i am losing the will to live. any questions give me a shout and i'll try and answer them for you . thanks.
