  1. That car is in the wrong hands! Nut-job! Glad the guy's ok.
  2. Did you get the geometry done after getting the shocks fitted?
  3. My goodness, you don't hang around long do you!? Well done, Im totally green with envy! I' say enjoy the car, but clearly you are already doing that!
  4. You're more than welcome mate, but you can't force people to like what they don't like. At the end of the day, much of the above is overstated, jsut some banter and fun, try not to take it to heart too much, there there...
  5. Aye agree with that, looks great though, liking the red band along the bottom. I just past the three year mark with my car, longest I have kept a car too. Testimony to how special the Subaru brand is, love it, love it, love it!
  6. LOL, that's the best suggestion I have heard yet!
  7. Pretty spectacular looking and mint as well, I love those wheels. I can't comment on the Scooby v Evo debate cause I know nothing about Evos and what I know about Scoobies, you could fit on the back of a fag packet I think if it were I, I wouldn't allow my allegience to a particular brand prevent me from buying another brand; especially something as stunning as that!
  8. I'd stick with gold wheels to go with your decals. Otherwise, take the decals off and colour the wheels orange!
  9. LOL!!!
  10. Nice. Shame about the front end getting done in already, that was my favourite part of your car! Welcome aboard
  11. An example and inspiration to other, a true servant. Well done and well done on the award too.
  12. Wow unreal! That has to be the most shiny car I have ever seen, it practically looks like its chrome! Stunning!
  13. The wheels are look good, just not on that car. That aside, its a well-nice machine, defo something to be proud off. If it was my car, Id consider some dark-coloued rims to off-set the light coloured paintwork. Remember, just my opinion. What kind of tyres is that you have on, those look like semi-slick track tyres!
  14. Something to replace the big red shoes then! Ha! Fab video, great editing and shooting. Best I have seen the new car look and it sounds ok to me
  15. Not good, sorry to hear that mate
  16. Pretty much stop start till I hit the motorway, then its a 7-minute squirt to the off-ramp then another 5 minutes of stop start stuff. On the way home I somtimes take the long road; all motorway but double the distance and probably jsut as quick. On the last leg of that trip I can usually give it some beans, so any MPG gains are probably evened out on that stretch
  17. Yeah, now that I think of it; the first exhaust mod I did was to remove the cat between the resonated centre section and the downpipe and my consumption was ever so slighly better
  18. Chris, I get on aver about 20mpg. Only once have I managed 22mpg since the upgrades and map, whereas I got 22 from time to time pre-map. your consumption wont drop off that much I'm sure. JW
  19. Er, no idea, will it?!
  20. Oh and fuel consumption with double the torque and an extra 120bhp is the same, maybe a half of a mile per gallon less Of course thanks under normal driving with some spirited bursts
  21. Oh yes, yes, it does! You can try it if you like!
  22. If you can afford it, do it. The STi is a superior animal even though I have never driven one, I know it to be true. I have driven the WRX hard and fast and broke it lots! The STi would cope much better than the WRX with this type of driving. As for the closer ratios of the 6-speed for cornering, possibly true, however, with a remap and bigger turbo, you will feel an enourmous difference in the mid-range; perfect for pulling out corners without down-shifting. The other option you have, which is MUCH cheaper, is to get that bigger turbo, and go for a remap with a sports cat. If you're not going to track it, the gearbox and internals should handle it, but the risk is greater than with the STi. If I hadn't thrown so much time, effort and money (especially money!) sorting my WRX, I'd be looking at an STi for sure. But there is too much history between myself and the "big guy" that I could never let him go. Edit: I don't care much for those semi-slicks (Bridgestone RE070)! You can replace these of course
