  1. I can't imagine replacing a knock-sensor would be a great deal of money, but I think it might be a pain to get to, so there might be a couple of hours in labour to replace it. If your KS isn't working correctly then yes, I would imagine that you would experience those symptoms. The senor being faulty, will retard the timing and store the values. The next time knock is detected, it retards the timing from the stored values, therefore, the symptoms get progressivley worse. I had a simialir issue, where the timing was retarded on account of the KS picking up "something". There was no CEL as there was no issues with any component; my issue was a cracked ringland which the KS picked up on. Your case seems to be much more straight forward in that your KS is faulty. Try swapping it out for a known working version.
  2. I have no argument with geologists, just what some of them say some of the time! Even geologists don't agree with each other from time to time. And I can't yet say I belive the Prof Plimer until I have read his book; which I am really looking forward too!
  3. I recently read an article by an Australian geologist (Prof. Ian Plimer) who thinks that GW is a farce, which can be read here. It was so good, I decided to order his book from here! Edit: I just realised that Professor Ian Plimer and his book is actually mentioned in Neil's links!
  4. I know. All I'm saying is that they are blaming it on fossil fuels. So, why the big emergency when the fossil fuels are almost gone? Just let us burn them like crazy, get them out the way for the "clean fuels" and everyone can be happy!
  5. There in lies the whole point! Why are we getting in such a state about Global Warming when main reason for it, is running out? Oh I know, there is no GW its just a way of making money from the ignorant masses who daren't challenge a man in white coat with some letters after his name! As for the world being a more peaceful place; I doubt it. Mankind will always find a way to wage war. When a viable alternative to oil is discovered or designed, then inevitably there will be some countries that will be resource-rich and others who wont... then the tension begins!
  6. Hmmm, kinda what I was thinking too. The former editor of the science magazine "Nature" appeared on radio and TV and among many other things. stated that the amount of human-produced CO2 was an infinitesimal amount when compared to the naturally occurring CO2. He said that if our planet is warming, there is just no way we puny humans are causing it. Wildly paraphrased of course.
  7. Downlaod their software, create your callander then uplaod it. http://www.albelli.com/

  9. I know nothing about the car mate, but welcome along anyway. I'd comment on your car but for the stupid restrictions on my works network preventing the pictures from loading
  10. Good find. There is a wealth of information available in magazine articles, the Internet and books that expose this garbage for what it is. Foisting this nonsense onto the public is nothing less than criminal. No point in blaming the Labour governement for it, as it is not entirely limited to them. Fear not, Cameron will drop a huge green hammer on all of us as well, just as soon as he gets in (Please God NO!). This country leads the world in fighting climate change; in otherwords, we are so steeped in polictial correctness that we are unable to see sense, even in this. Why would the government not embrace it? Through hammering business, motorists and households with Green taxes, they are making a killing. Owning up to the truth would cost them a fortune. And we can't have truth, not at that cost!
  11. OHHHHH Yes!!!!! Love the green Hoops, compliments the white body work. I'm pretty sure it attracts a lot of attention and passers-by huddle around all the time to look at it.
  12. You may not need to swap the ECU. I know it is true of NewAges that ECUs had two maps; one for manual cars and the other for standard cars, a one size fits all sort of deal. At production, the respective map would be switched on for the car. This is how AndyF can provide twin maps for cars: an economical one and a super-duper one. Those who have this feature, engage the respective map from the rear-window heater button. Of course, you would have to pay for a remap, so that's another few hundred notes added to the cost and that is IF this twin-map feature exists in Classics. Oh and, this type of ECU is no longer presently used in the Hawkeye cars, so I never got my eco-map
  13. Takk the bits off and take it to Andy F to replace the standard map, simple. I don't think it would cost the £350 suggested either; much cheaper than that. Best to contact him and find out directly.
  14. yeah, its really cool! Must be great to have all these wonderful skills
  15. I think you are right. Adjsuting the ride-height will require the geometry to be readjusted to suit.
  16. Awesome man! Sounds incredible and goes incredible. And what's with the over taking on track days!?!? Surely that's not allowed, is it? I'm still waiting on the longer videos to load. I have the worst broadband in the world, its so bad I can't even watch YouTube vids without stuttery stop-start nonsense. Great car man, and a lotta bottle taking it on the track especially on a day like that
