Well that clears all that up and good on you for coming on and explaining your side of the argument. What isn't cleared up though is the undoubted confusion this will cause in the future. Let's face it, we don't refer to organisations by the full "Sunday name” with the dot-whatever at the end, we shorten things to make them punchy and user-friendly. So ScottishScoobies.net or .co.uk will inevitably become synonymous in the eye of the ordinary user. Wouldn’t it make sense to drop the name and register something else along similar lines.
I understand that following through on the above suggestion will likely cause money if you have purchased a hosting package, so it might not be workable. However, if you simply purchased the name on its own, then it wouldn’t have cost you that much. Just a suggestion, as I can’t be bothered telling Subaru owners/future members that: “I post on Scottish Scoobies, that’s Scottish Scobbies DOT co DOT uk, there is another site blah blah blah...” See?
