johns Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Awful and very sad news indeed. I'd met Paul many times over the past 5 years or so at many events, including the great karting events we had at Raceland where he was part of the "Crailthrashers" team. He was a top bloke, and will be very sadly missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends. John

PG Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 As soon as I saw the title I had that horrible feeling I had known Paul for the last few years and was aware of his health but you soon forgot due to his outlook and the positive way he lived his life. He enjoyed his cars, he was a hardworking business man but first and foremost he was a family man. My thoughts go out to all his family and the rest of his friends at this time. RIP Paul. Paul & LJ
S2000KM Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 This is very sad news and my thoughts are with his friends and family. Paul was one of the very first people I met from scoobynet when I was allowed to tag along at a scoobynet drive from Perth to Knockhill when I still had my VTS. Paul made a point of making sure I felt welcome that day and was only happy to help with my questions about Impreza's. I'm sure it was one of PG's firemen buddies that put his scooby in a ditch that day and paul was kind enough to offer up his UK300 in an attempt (failed I might add ) to pull him out. I later met paul at another Knockhill meet and always found him to be kind, sincere and interesting to talk to. I had always suspected he had medical history as he once told me he was medically retired - such a shame for someone still so young. RIP Paul
Gumball Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 im really sorry to hear of this sad and tragic news about Paul. He from my brief encounters with his was a top guy. The good do die young which is terrible. Thoughts to his family and friends

mctwistuk Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I have just read this. I didn't know Paul but my heart goes out to his family and friends.
Scooby Dooby Blue Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 I have just read through all the message left in memory of Paul. I am truely touched. Paul was the perfect husband and a perfect father. We couldn't ask for anyone more perfect to share our lives with and would not have changed him in any way. The messages left here are an indication of just how well liked and respected Paul was on a wider spectrum. I know some of you came along to the funeral on Monday, unfortunately I didn't meet any of you. However, Paul would have like the fact that those who knew him had the chance to pay their last respects. Words cannot even begin to articulate how hurt we are - however, it was consoling reading the kind words of condolence. Thank you Nicola Stewart (Paul's wife)
