About Big Daz

  1. Nyles old motor And Nick's gonna be pissed that your taking all the credit for his track car I'll be back on track in a few months to see how well it goes.... Just like the good old days, Tiger v White RA Daz
  2. Good Luck Zeo & Mrs Zeo, Sounds like quite an adventure and I am sure you with both love every minute. Daz
  3. Kev, neither of mine were MOT'd, just of a good standard and safe. As said above, lightness is the key, loose EVERYTHING thats not essential and then loose some more ... If you need any help just give me a shout, happy to help with some spannering / unbolting Daz
  4. Hotel already booked. will come across and see you there
  5. Think he loads up a "generic base" one he has written then tweaks it to get the maximum from each individual car, certainly lots of time spent on the rollers doing tweaks till he & the customer are happy. No complaints here anyway Daz
  6. 3rd 'ed Star Peformane all the way. had them do last 3 cars for me, Audi S4 and 2 diesels, Quality work every time. Cheers Daz
  7. Oh I remember 1st time my Scoob was on a rolling road, was scared stiff that it might blow up and the noise it made during the run, then you came along with the RA and blew everyone away. IIRC it had some trouble staying on the rollers too Daz
  8. LOL, thats got to be the laziest thing I have ever heard Well you are going to need to take the Navara now to recover the Scoob If you need a hand I am in Abz today
  9. Ooo youv'e broken Adams Car !! Better break out the Skyline Crank Position Sensor or MAF gets my vote, but I would have though MAF would just reduce power rather than none at all. Does it have the single coil pack on the top of the engine? Maybe thats on its way out - intermittant sparking. Daz
  10. Very Nice - retro cool I used to have a big poster of that car in my Garage many years ago before I got my Scoob. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. Daz
  11. Well picked mine up on Sunday. All remapped and ready to go. Not had a chance to drive it much, took it to the airport yesterday and it awaits my return Initial impressions - much smoother engine than the 1.9, bit noisier, too early to say on MPG but bound to be pretty good Really needs a centre armrest though - Away to buy its first mod I will have to investigate the torque in the wet on my return Cal how do you know the boost pressure now?
  12. Nice. Who is doing the Map? Mines is at Star Performance. What sort of MPG you getting just now? Oh, and my speed kicks now come from this:-
  13. Well like Cal I have also binned high performance in favour of high MPG for a while. Have just bought this:- although it is getting a cheeky wee remap before I collect it. 180bhp / 300+ lb/ft should suffice nicely with the 40+ mpg Cal, I will wave if I see you
  14. JC you still going out at Kingennie? I will need to get out soon. Not been out for ages
