Nice earing, if not a little gay[]lol Dave -
Really sad that I could not make this today. Got the drain cleared right enough, so no more flooding hopefully. Glad to hear it went well and the kids are all happy. Just realsied the place is just 2 mins from me! Dave

I read on some Laser Dector site a article on challenging the hand held devices in court, with a good lawer, that it is quite easy to get it thrown out. Think it was because if the officer is not 100% still it can give an incorrect reading. The case that highlighted this was the Land Rover done for doing over a 118mph. It was proven it could not do anything above 80mph. Tests then proved that this is not at all uncommon, and a stationary car reading came back at 30mph. Dont know if it would be worth the hastle and cost right enough, but food for thought.

Think we might need to build a ark! I might have to miss this Im afraid. I have flooding at my garage, which is threatening to come into it, and both Falkirk Council and Scottish Water will not cover it as I am in a private estate. I called a private contractor to get a quote and they want £1000. Feck that! So if weather improves I am going to have to open it myself and get in there and clear the blockage. Think its just all the leaves as it drains away if the rain stops, which is once every three days at the moment. Weather forcast looks like Saturday will be the 1st day this is possible. Raging to say the least. Falkirk Council would clear the one 2 meters away as well! What do you pay council tax for? Paul - Will give you a shout on Friday and confirm status!

Shaft all......I'm skint!!

I got pulled for the same thing the other week. They were writing me a ticket when I went to the boot and got the packaging for them. This has the British Kite Mark, hence they are street legal! Cops were well p!ssed off. This is not the first time I have proved the traffic feds wrong! Drove away from them with a large smile.

WHY is anyone moaning that the Santa Cruise stuff is in the normal section and not the Events? Is this really worth the grief that it has caused. Plus this North/South divide is rubbish. Just people getting paranoid in my opinion!! Its for Charity and Christmas. DROP IT!!! -
Looking very very nice mate. "White is the best colour" not in this country its not! lol!!

My mate got caught by a unmarked car in his M3 doing an average of 106mph over 6 miles on the M74. U would think a lenghty ban eh! Not at all. 2 weeks and 180 notes! Over 25 and it appears that you do not get hammered! Not that I or the site condone such actions!

""Errr, why? Front fogs in the wet are probably the worst time to use them. They reflect off the wet road and can dazzle oncoming drivers as much as approaching them with full beam on. This is particularly bad with Scoobies as the front fogs are more powerful than most cars. The Highway Code states: You MUST NOT use any lights in a way which would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves to avoid dazzling other road users. Wet roads don't reduce visibility sufficiently to justify the use of front fogs. Rear fogs maybe if spray is extremely bad, but not front ones. If your visibility to the front is affected so much that you need to use fogs then you're affected by the spray by the car in front of you and therefore too close to it. Sorry, but unneccessary use of front fogs is a pet hate of mine I thought was restricted to BMW drivers... " Andy Dont know if you have a Classic, but the headlights are p!ss poor. I do find, particularly in the wet unlit motorway that its a big difference. The standard fogs do not dazzel other drivers. I have had many behind me and pass me and do not find them bad. Infact I do not find fog lights dazzel me much for most cars. The problem is that if you notice them, its to easy to stare at the oncoming car. I am rarely flashed by oncoming traffic, so most cant find them to much of a distraction. Sorry mate, but being able to see and keep the car on the road on dark winter nights is much more important to me that the occational driver getting dazzled for a few seconds. By the way........you never broke the highway code??? Bet you do every day! lol!

1 - If your sidelights won't switch off look for the parking light switch on top of the steering column . 2 - Use the search function on the forum before asking the same old question . 3 - The best first mod for an impreza is the exhaust (backbox at least) 4 - Buy a newage 5 - Make sure you get regular quality oil / filter changes every 3 - 4000 miles 6 - Always run the car on good quality fuel - V Power/BP Ultimate/Tesco 99 and add octane booster for safety in an unremapped import 7 - Avoid "chip"ing an impreza - get it remapped by an expert like Andy Forrest (Apexi for classics, ECUtek for newage) 8 - Sell the Newage and buy a Classic 9 - Always wait till the engine is nice and warm before giving it full pelt and let it cool down befrore switching it off 10 - Upgrade your brakes before modding the engine 11 - A VTA dumpvalve isnt really a good idea unless your car is getting remapped to compensate for it. It will momentarily make your car run rich as the ecu gives fuel for air which has been dumped and not recirculated. All you are missing is the gay noise. 12 - Solid rear droplinks and a decent suspension geometry set-up are probably one of the best sub-£100 modifications you can do to a standard car. 13. new ages will undertseer when at the limit 14. If you have a classic get Strutt Braces. The improvement is outstanding! If you have a new age...no luck! loL! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree with Gumball. Just wanted to make a point I think. Gumball - Ur side got out of jail today eh! Realing you in - 13 to go! lol!

Thats a lot of money and hastle for a set of lights Davie. Plus the bulbs are Korean, so I take it they do not have the British Kite Mark, and are then illegal. I have already been stopped about mine from the Traffic Feds, but I kept the packaging with the Kite Stamp and they were happy with that.

The so called impreza is rank! Would have no interest in that at all. Its like a poor mix of Ibiza and Civic with a splash of Skoda! As stated on previous link that would drive me over to a evo I think! Mind you a few years before I have the funds for that!
-
I have the xenon HID Bulbs in mine. Definately make a difference, although dont bother with the sidelights as they are rubbish. You can get them for under £7 on ebay. I still drive in unlit roads with the front fogs on if wet though! Here is a link to the guy I got mine from...can recommend him. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-93-03...oQQcmdZViewItem Dave
