  1. I to was jus t robbed at the same price. There definately must be some problems with the amount of optimax about, and the garage owners know it. Its went up 7p in 48 hrs! I had a good moan at the woman on the counter, but she knew nothing about it. Asked to speak to the owner but he would not come out of his office. Need to find out what is happin, its going to bankrupt me!!
  2. I thought the meet was last night!
  3. Classic...with large spoiler Wat at 4ish, if that makes it easier!
  4. Nice one mate Cheers
  5. I am usually pretty teched up.....but how do you attach a feckin photo. My mate is selling his car and I was going to put it in the for sale section!
  6. Washed the motor this afternoon and was takin it for a spin to dry off. Between Skinflats and Kinkardine, passed a nice blue Subaru, waved at each other. Just wondering if it was anyone here?? Being a new member still to meet a fellow SIDC member. Not had chance to go to meet yet. Was planning the Knockhill night, but got my dates mixed up....though it was tonight! DOH!!
  7. Aye...was raging earlier, had to drive all the way through to Cumbernauld after visiting Camelon at 9 this morning and there was none! That cowboy in seafar is charging 99p a litre, drove past yesterday and it was 96p. Must have got wind of it. Dick Tirpin wears a mask McCashin!! Still got a full tank to last the now!
  8. Defo commin up. Being a reasonable new member, will be a meet virgin!! Dont plan to take car on track, but how much just to get in?? Back on Sat afternoon to see mate do Knockhill experience! Not been on track since me and mates rote of our XR2 track car about 7 years ago!! Cant wait to see him lose it on duffers!!
  9. My mate is looking for a 99-01 impreza. Has between 7-8k to playwith, anyone selling or know of any dealers with some good examples?
  10. My old man is the secretary of the CSAA. They have 5 miles of water from Tyndrum to Crainlarigh. You can buy a permit for 5 notes a day, i think, from any of the pubs or shops in either village. End of april, start of may is when the brown trout fishin really get good. I fly fish it regularly, and the average size ranges from 9 oz to 2 lb. There are also salmon in the river. I hooked one last season on 3 lb line and a size 14 pheasant tail nymph. Bout 9 lbs, but landed it and was well chuffed! Took me 50 mins!!
  11. Damn Theives!! I would chop the bastas hands off if I caught them!! Would be god idea to plug the car in to the mains when parked so you could blow the gits up!!! Sounds like they were quite keen to make as much damage as possible, probably just because its a wrx!! These people cant ever dream of owning one,so they smash it up instead!!
  12. The art of waving to fellow subarus seems to be a dying thing. I always do and increasingly find myself feeling daft as nobody acknowloges these days! Passed a classic white WRX on the M9 approaching inglston today, anyone here??
  13. I tottaly agree. It really does my nut in!! But does anybody agree that the art of indicating - full stop, seemed to have deserted most drivers. Or even worse is the old Mirror, signal, manovure! It seems to be manovure, **** the mirrors who cares whats behind me, signal! I also feel that whether approaching a roundabout or sitting behind a driver, seems to provoke people to do this, or for some to think there bog standard family car is now a rally bred flying machine and they will make you eat their dust. Daily occurance these days, I trust no driver on the road, except fellow scoobies of course!
  14. I had one fitted to my car, but got it removed after 6 months. They really do start to do your nut in after a while, unless you like driving with your tunes up real loud! As for performance, they really dont do much for it unless you are running a really high boost, its meant to stop lag between gear changes by keeping the turbine spinning....apparently! Really up to you mate, although they do turn heads!!!
  15. Hey all If you like seeing lots of video clips of subarus, with many beating so called supercars I discovered a great site: www.streetfire.net Just go to videos and then WRX. I spent 4 hours on this on saturday with a 12 pack of miller!!
  16. Might have something to do with the fact they are meant to handle like shite in the wet. So I was informed by the salesman when testdriving a scooby from AF Noble in penicuick. This was as sales rep completely out cornered the nissan being test driven by powersliding round a corner nicely. Must admit I was in full use of the shitbag handle at that point! Needless to say convinced me to buy the car! Four wheel drive always wins!!!
  17. Alright all Anyone know if the Subaru Impreza will fall under the new £210 bracket for Road Tax announced in todays budget? I fear it will, more fekin money. All right for those MPs being drove arround in there big guzzlers and our tax money payying there Road Tax!
  18. Yeah. If you can make it to Falkirk, Skidz on Grahams Road are approved. Easy to find to if you do not know the area.
  19. Had my 2000 UK spec impreza for about 2 months. Totally standard, as I wanted at the time. Just got it back yesterday from reparir centre after a tube hit my rear on the motoreway, luckly only needed bumper sprayed! Have decided to get s stainless steel exhaust. Was wanting something with a nice sound but not mega loud, but still with some performance! Anyone recommend any. Used to have a Magnex on my RS Turbo in years gone past, and thought it was good! Dave
