  1. Hi Drew Do you not have the paperwork for the alarm which you normally need to get insurance (thatcham number).(provided with your car manual and service book etc) This would tell you what alarm it is. I had a '99 car, but i don't know if the later model years stuck with that alarm manufacturer. Maybe someone else can help? I've got the Sigma manual which tells you how to do it if it is Alan
  2. Is it a Sigma alarm? You can reprogramme the keys via your keypad if it is.
  3. lol. [] Could be a deal going on here where both guys get their lights sorted! []
  4. Replied. []
  5. Cheers for the heads up Gus. For those that might be interested, these have already been modified to take the std UK foglamps.
  6. Strangely enough, not really oobster. Haven't missed it all. I think it's cause the new owner will keep in touch with regard to the car, so i'll still know what's going on. Alan
  7. I don't have experience with the new age cars, so won't comment on whether those tyre pressures are high or not. All i can say is that on my classic with that sort of tyre pressure, driving would be "entertaining" in the damp or wet. I usually kept them down to around 28-30psi and bumped them up a few psi when weather was bone dry. (not very often then... [] ) Having said and thought about that... anything with 600bhp is "entertaining". lol []
  8. Could be other silly things as well like tyre pressures or duff tyres. Just a thought. []
  9. Know the road well. Some bends can catch the unwary out. 60mph isn't a lot for a Subaru on that road, but being damp can change that. My guess would be that we'd had a dry spell for a while there and now being damp, the roads are greasy. Doesn't help that it's a road used by heavy traffic such as tippers. Try it again in the dry and you'll see the difference. Re: droplink. Wouldn't bother on your car yet unless it's "had a life" and the std bushes are tired.
  10. I used bathroom silicone sealant years ago on mine and had no issues. Also meant that when i changed the lights back it wasn't a bitch to get off...
  11. Thanks for clarifying. By the way. You've spelt wrong, wrong. You've spelt it worng instead of wrong. So you're wrong. [] Oh good grief..... []
  12. I really liked the GT30 when i had it on my 2.5 S4NDY. Thumping torque which brought a grin and shaky legs everytime you put the foot down. []
  13. Indeed. The written word can be misinterpreted, hence i sought to clarify my position to alleviate any doubts others may have had. [Y]
  14. Ahh... the 'ol slippery slope of further tuning... [] Would be a shame to build a bomb proof engine and stick to what you've achieved so far... [] I can hear your wallet whimpering just now..... [][] but hey... what the ****, you only live once! Good luck and enjoy it. []
  15. I dunno so much. I quite like mine on the car just now! [] Was it too quiet for you? Plenty power from the car to play with using the Sti BB and doesn't attract much attention. It's the gearbox that makes them turn round! [] Custom BB is loud tho'.... [:$]
  16. chris My suggestion has turned out to be wrong, but was given as an alternative suggestion at that time with the information given by the thread starter.
  17. After the horse has bolted i know and no use to you now, but do you have any gauges in your car S4NDY which might have given you an early warning of something not quite right? (not that i give a toss about gauges when i'm givin' it full boonah!!) []
  18. Not sure why you feel my "suggestion" is deemed to be "wrong", since at the time of posting, the only information with regard to the fault on S4NDY's car was written in the first post. At that point in time, no-one knew for certain what the fault was unless they had further communication outwith this thread. As more information came out on this thread from the owner with regard to what happened, after, my suggestion, the diagnosis of the actual fault on the car becomes clearer. As you will be aware from other contributors, a conclusive diagnosis would not have been possible for certainty without physical inspection of the engine bay.
  19. Could be an oil pipe is damaged/has came off/ burst (feeding the turbo), causing pressure drop when oil has emptied from sump
  20. This? will probably bore the tits off you, but can let you see the different types of intercoolers.
  21. works for me []
  22. Don't go by price alone Frank, (though front mounts are better value than when i were a lad... [] ) Check to see how the core is manufactured. Have a look at last months Jap Performance to see the different types of core you can get.
  23. Alan-G They guy i work with has no interest in cars at all but because there's not that many people with scoobs, he'd recognised the marque.. That will be Elvington you're talking about in York. A flying club was there during TOTB2 ("Ten of the best"). Very impressive site, it took a few minutes to realise they weren't full size planes!![]
  24. Strange Alan-G. All i did to show the pic was copy your url and use the img /img tags at each end. Maybe possible it's your browser that might be an issue? Up until 2 days ago i couldn't do the pic thing on IE7. I was telling the guy i work with that there were coincidences between us (he's an Airdrie boy through and through) and he then proceeded to rattle off your number plate, so you must live fairly close to each other. Don't ask me where he stays in Airdrie though, i can never remember! lol. Where did you fly the Mig Alan?
  25. I thought it was how much petrol i had left in the tank.....[]
