Andy Forrest will travel but it costs £200 to get him to Aberdeenshire. Me and David Sim (simbo on here) split the travelling costs the last time and he did us both in a day. I'll be going down to Edinburgh the next time though as the changes are less subtle but will still be driving off-boost etc.
Glenburgie are your chaps up in Forres. Doubt they'll have crystal lamps although Liam may surprise you. I got my STi rears from them.
You could try Grade A who i'm led to believe carry a slightly larger stock of parts, although you will pay through the ears from them. Best bet in my opinion would be to find someone who has put Morettes on their MY00.
Oh aye, at Loch Eil? Yup, forgot Mechie and O'Dea.
That was the most hotly anticipated McDonalds ever... and tasted absolutely atrocious by the time it arrived.
Wind speed off the scale at 99 knots last night. All work suspended today and we've only to go out in pairs. Fcekin' ace this is, until someone gets twatted by a low-flying piece of lagging...
OOE was out taking pictures before we came off shift this morning, will try and track them down.
Hey Colin, stay in Aberdeenshire now. Which is home and has been since the day dot really.
Local apprentices in my year off the top of my head were Craig Brown, David Main, Chris Harte, Craig Horne, Chris Sutherland, Paul Monteith etc...
Julian at Turriff Tyres in er Turriff will not disappoint. They have so much experience with the gear they will just dial in what you request but accurately.
I personally wouldn't drive to Bonnybridge. I don't think i can say much more without being lynched by the Mods.
Yeah get some pics up if possible Jools.
We had a max wave height of 17 metres averaging a meagre 5 last trip. Pales in comparision but by far the best i've seen in my short time offshore. Would love to be on a semi or FPSO for some funky weather, only once though i bet.
Here's hoping for some interesting weather as of Tuesday...!
Your model of Impreza will get the centre section Cal. Think it was MY99 onwards.
Mine certainly didn't have one. Unless it's been robbed previously or i've been passing the MOT's on a resonator.
Buying the PPP new is a waste of money on a car of that age IMO (i have the same btw). It will give you 250bhp with a de-cat however, mine made 260bhp with these exact mods. The MY98 PPP is basically just an ECU, back box and panel filter. I'd recommend either looking around for a second hand PPP (i have one but it ain't for sale) or try the same basic mods with different kit.
Andy Forrest does the Apexi Power FC ECU for £700 supplied/fitted/mapped. Full de-cat from Hayward & Scott along with this will see you well over 250bhp (with your HKS panel) and come in at well under £1600.
Boost gauge is always a good idea if you're tweaking things and the Apexi AVC-R is the current favoured electronic boost controller.
Have a read of my website (see signature) for tuning the MY98.
Nice one Cal, in all honesty i thought it would never happen but i'm glad to be proved wrong. Car looks a good 'un in black too.
Perhaps it's just me but spoiler risers have to be the naffest thing this side of gold wheels, please don't do it lol...
