What year is it? MY99's and 2000's seem to prone to MAF failure. I've known of an MY97 and 98 (mine !!) which had similar symptoms and it was the boost solenoid.

In all honesty i can't afford to spend another £2?0 on the car right now (still got fuel pump and FPR to buy) and i think you'd be better off holding out for a decent offer for it. I'd imagine you could get £250 for it all day long if it's new? I'll table an offer of £200 anyway. I don't mean to be derisery but i know you won't take it the wrong way. Guys, Mark Underwood us making a wee pilgramage up North to give some Scottish Scoobs a good Swissol. Fife is his initial destination but i am trying to sway him into heading a little further North to Aberdeenshire to do my own and perhaps some other local cars. Cost is circa £70 for the works - exterior, interior and engine bay. No products can be supplied at this price however. More details on SNet here. So, any Scottish Scoobs interested and more importantly any of the ABZ guys (whose cars aren't as shiney as Jools ) fancy it?

Ok, just to bring you up to speed with events my end... Myself and Emma are attending her graduation ball the Saturday night before the RR day. Naturally i perhaps won't be in the best shape come Sunday and because of this i would prefer to run lunchtime or afternoon but if it's unavoidable i'll do an early start. Second point is my car is reasonably low and has one of those daft P1 splitters on it. Jools/Marc, Gavin has seen my car before although he may not remember it straight away. Would it be possible to pick his brain to see if there's going to be a clearance issue or get him to divulge exactly how much clearance is required? I wouldn't imagine it'd be much lower than a standard P1 tbh. Thirdly, i was going to knock up a spreadsheet on my laptop for all the runners/results etc. If kick off is going to be pre-10am could i leave my laptop with someone to log the first few results?

Johnny, i'll have it mate. Don't mind giving you my MY98 pump in p/ex either. Anything to save money whilst i aim towards my 320+ goal.... I can actually feel a mass clearout coming on soon... How would it be best for you to make the swap? I can live without my car for a couple of days if you want to do it through the mail or alternatively we can meet up and get them changed over? Yeah, P1 splitter be it a genuine Subaru/Prodrive one or replica will fit any MY99/00 bumper. I have the eBay one on mine and wouldn't recommend it. An absolute nightmare to fit i'm told and it looks crap close up. I'll be swapping it for a genuine Subaru STi V6 job once i've ripped it off on something this winter.
