  1. Watch the Godfather and you'll hear it used as a racial slur.
  2. Bigger pictures on our very own article - http://www.sidc.co.uk - see the front page for details!
  3. John, you're on the south side aren't you? Then you'll want Autokits on the main road in Clarkston. I got bottles of millers OB there earlier in the year. This stuff:

Mine's finished stage 1 basically, but there's always room for stage 2 in the future surely?
  6. Omissions for MOTs? lol. I think a few of us might have omitted a few things in our time, particularly about what we're emitting!
  7. It's a beauty of a car alright. Good choice on the purchase Paul.
  8. The GB270 limited edition WRX has 310lbs ft of torque. It comes equipped with PPP. It only has the 270bhp though. So the 2.5 is certainly pumping out the Torques. John also forgot to mention that from the sports cat back it's got a de-res centre and a meaty backbox. But still, great numbers for not much.
  9. Eagle F1s cope well in anything I've had to use them in, but I guess we don't get as fierce a winter down here in tropical Glasgow as you do in Arctic Aberdeen. Wet grip is pretty amazing.
  10. Or Project Kahn? SRT? AMG? Brabus? Kleeman? EDO Competition? Keep at it Dave and Gus. Why the hell not.
  11. John, I got Goodyears supplied and fitted for £320 mate. Fantastic figures though. Now just remember for Saturday morning - slower in, and now much faster out
  12. John, that first time Andy lets you put your foot down with the first bash at the performance map - try not to giggle uncontrollably as you'll be going at a decent pace. Then when he tweaks it and lets you try it again - follow Mr Badger's advice.
  13. Last time I was in drivers the prices being quoted would have brought a tear to the queen's eye. I doubt you'll beat Wuz's price including the fitting by someone that could fit them in his sleep.
  14. I don't see any adverts, but then I'm admin.
  15. Oil change is pretty straight forward. If you've got the gear it's dooable yourself.
  16. I got mildly lost on the way out of Cumbernauld. I decided to go a different way, then realised all the roads look the same and ended up not where I was trying to go. So I just enjoyed the nice roads of Cumbernauld and the sound of my car reverberating off anything and everything. Oh and Imy - GNER trains cancelled due to the works at Waverley. My Scotrail home to Motherwell was jam packed with people who had jumped on it from the cancelled Glasgow train before the one you got - hence why yours made an extra stop. I did get a seat, but unfortunately it was a bit of a tight squeeze as there was 3x as many people on the train. It then proceeded to be 15 minutes late. Which meant I didn't get home to Bothwell until about a minute to 7. Strapped on the dancing shoes, grabbed the socket set and my dinner - a bottle of Fanta Z - then flew out the house. I think I arrived at 19:31 though. Still, great night. Good to see loads of faces. Spoke to a few but could never get round everyone. Good to hear the new forum etc. is being appreciated too.
  17. Gus - Mini with a flat 4? Now there's something interesting.
  18. Not even full decat or the remap Craig - just 3rd cat delete, deres centre and a backbox. You were carrying Jimser at the time too though
  19. The Cool thermo is a replacement thermostat. Here's some blurb: I'm not the only person using it at all - some big power cars on here also running it. I got it for £35 off ebay, so it's ###### all.
  20. Sco - for reference - I'm running about 290bhp and 290lb/ft with my mods on a 2005 WRX. Stock turbo, full decat, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, stock injectors, standard airbox with nothing done other than an STI panel filter, Zero Sports cool thermo too.
  21. John..... John, John, John, John. Wash your mouth out with soap. In as few words as possible - 2 door, widebodied, 2.2 engine, faster than Ben Johnson after a bender in the boots pharmacy, rarer than a gretna premier league win.
  22. That site's nothing to do with us George. Must have just been coincidence they changed their forums at the same time.
  23. I must say I thought when getting PPP for a WRX they upped the fuel pump. I know they do on the STI. It's cheap as chips anyway, so why not. My WRX is running 1.4 peak just now on a stock Turbo. Mapped by Andy F. That's with full decat and a Walbro 255lph fuel pump.
  24. Never try and post from a phone. Opera clearly doesn't like the fast reply box. I was away on Holiday for a few days and just back. Anyway, what I was trying to say is that if you got to the main homepage you'll see the new "Subaru Directory". In this the dealers are all listed, complete with addresses etc. The plan is to build this directory into a resource of websites and physical locations for all things Subaru. These entries in the directory will also have something stating whether they offer discount or not, and what that discount is. I'm still trying to get my head round how it's all going to work, and to fill it with plenty of information to begin with, but a possibility will be to open up submission of entries to the list so that people can add them, and then one of the site administrators (me at the moment) can then view and approve legitimate ones for all to see.
