Just had Paul on the phone to me giving me an update on his exhuast which gave up again at Knockhill last Saturday. He was down at Meercat all day with the guys there and they've stayed true to their word and completely re-engineerd the backbox on his car now to cope with the blade engine and what not. Paul's very happy with the outcome from meercat. Willie was very apologetic about everything, and Paul wanted me to post that he bears them no ill feeling at all and knows that what happened was not representative of their work at all. So the new backbox is on and he's very happy with it, although the acid test is the next Trackday! Paul also wanted me to thank all the SIDC guys who helped out last Saturday with his car. Pushing and pulling it everywhere and hiding it on the club stand in the afternoon. He's a paid up member and ex-owner of 3 classics and feels right at home with the rest of us nutters.

Anyone know a civic round the central parts. X reg EK hatch back. Badged as a 1.6vtec. "Standard" backbox on it, but the noise out of it clearly wasn't coming out of that backbox. VERY quick indeed it was. Had a bit of entertainment with it earlier.

Stewarty, that's terrible mate. After everything that's gone on you've been charged. I hope it really is just procedure and that the wee ******** that were responsible for this get charged for more than just driving offences.

What Road Angel do you have John? I have the classic one which has the laser detector as an extra adaptor. I don't use it though as most laser detectors are pretty useless. The police laser is quite a narrow beam and if they did hit your road angel and you were speeding then they've already caught you. The only way it would be of any use is if the signal bounced from/through another car and yours picked it up, but the chances of that are slim to nil. Remember also that the RA, like most other devices these days is purely GPS based as the detection based stuff was outlawed.

I really can't take any credit for it other than being a sounding board for the many excellent ideas that Andy has had, and that Phil's agreed to in his never ending pursuit to make this the finest club in the world. I also especially can't take much credit as I've not actually finished my part of the bargain yet either, but it will be by the end of the weekend. Either that or Andy will come round and kick my ass.

Well, it's released on Friday, but there's previews today and tomorrow. So yeah, kind of released today. Tickets booked and ready to go!
