  1. I wonder how mine would go without the bung. It's only 114db from memory
  2. Could have been. Only got a quick glimpse at it.
  3. Here's some more news stuff - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7592353.stm http://www.stv.tv/news/Hundreds_of_motor_r...080830131025964 Google news has shed loads of it, from all over the world. There's german articles, south african, new zealand, even england! Utterly fantastic.
  4. Robert - glad you enjoyed the burger. Thought for a moment the other guy was going to get it as we couldn't find you! Bumped into loads of people over the weekend. Most of whom I remembered! I think Seafar is of the opinion that I'm stalking him though. Did anyone see the daily record today? One of the editions has a great picture on the second page which I suspect is JC's wee boy cycling between two rows of cars.
  5. Wilky needs to be doing standup comedy. Everyone was in stitches listening to the auction. I think the phrase "diso man" will remain with me forever. As will the whole weekend which was special from start to finish. At no point was I anything less than utterly gobsmacked. I've been privy to a lot of the information so quite how I was still completely blown away with the sheer numbers and scale of the thing I don't know. Seeing Jimmy waving before the M74 must have been a hazard as I'm sure there was a few of us welling up as we drove past! Well done to the rest of the marshalls too, and to prodrive for all their efforts. I know the three tireless workers were enjoying a wee day off today and I hope they woke up this morning feeling exceptionally proud of themselves because I know we are. Or atleast hungover! I had a quick word with Grant as we were driving out the site last night and he summed it up with the line "..we did the big man proud". Goddamn right we did.
  6. Another one of you spaceman, rest of my set is now up. Took longer than I'd planned, but got there in the end! http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157606968846352/
  7. Getting the hang of the camera then Paul? First shot with the wagon is an absolute cracker mate.
  8. Neil - It's needing a wee appostrophe in the "were". Nice though.
  9. I've got an email with "Receipt for Your Payment to Pathfoot Limited" dated the 5th of August. I sat for ages considering whether I was going to renew or not and I thought "£16, 4 mags, aye it'll be worth it". Now it's £16 for a tin of sweet FA. Baws!
  10. Not the best shot Greig, but there's more to come: First batch of the set are up here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/st3ph3n/sets/72157606968846352/ - loads more to come when I get the chance to go through them.
  11. Didn't get a chance to sort them today. Do it tomorrow hopefully.
  12. You're a crazy guy Ed. The world's just a little brighter with an odd fellow like you in it.
  13. The rat rod style corsa is certainly different! Good pics as usual Col.
  14. Mine'll be up tomorrow or Tuesday Greig. The new toy was looking good. Didn't get a chance to come see it up close though.
  15. I guess I'm going to be the odd one out and say - I thought the last ones were much nicer.
  16. SIDC is different in that the hardware is dedicated, and owned by the club. But it is running a large forum, website etc. etc. You can get a hosted IPB (what we're using) setup direct from Invision - http://www.invisionpower.com/hosting/community.html
  17. It is possible to stretch it. I got down to Lancaster from Larkhall in well under half a tank. But then I've covered that same route and needed a top up..... was mildly spirited.
  18. Baz - some neighbours of mine run Car Medic and are based in Bothwell. I know they do scratch repair and the likes but I'm sure they also do valeting as well. Try the mobile on here - http://www.freeindex.co.uk/profile(car-medic)_6702.htm
  19. Round of applause for Dunk's use of facetious. I'm surprised there was 2 seats installed in it John............
  20. It wasn't criticism - people were being genuine enough to say "you don't need that at this spec" to save spending on something not 100% required. When I modded mine for power I was all for fitting a CAI but was told it wasn't needed for the power. Good cost saving advice!
  21. The JW speaketh from experience too. He's broken just about everything on that car of his! I'm running 290/290 WITH a Walbro. I'm also running droplinks all round and have been for quite some time. It's a mod that's WELL worth doing once and doing it right.
  22. Then I'm sure he'll have no problem building it!
  23. Did you not read the last page and bit?
  24. Clean looking car. Much prefer the front splitters not colour-coded though.
  25. I would say by the complete lack of replies that this is a project that would be completley insane and not worth the effort. Unless you plan to fabricate your own auto box, or procure one from .... say a high power merc and retrofit it then you're barking up a gum tree. An expensive adventure into the unknown.
