Last year I had one claim of a windscreen which to the best of my knowledge didn't affect your policy, so why the hell has my insurance - now with 7 years no claim instead of 6 - gone up! I think a phone call on Monday will be in order.

The retaining pin had been removed so the pins were "free" to come out. However despite coaxing with a hammer or 3, some WD40 and what not, they weren't doing feck all. Phoned Hypertech this morning so they're going to order me some pins and sort it out next week. I guess if the pins are stuck you just cut them?

Well if you'd like to see this place improved there are ways to suggest things. It's a democracy not a dictatorship.

Depends on the question you ask. One of the good things in my mind about this place is that no one feels obliged to post whore and respond with "sorry I don't know". If everyone done that then there would be utter chaos! This place is far from dead.

Well I had a 15 miles drive back home and wouldn't be able to have another bash at them until Monday or Tuesday evening anyway, so didn't fancy a half finished job on my daily driver. I had no spare pins either if I had broken something.

Well complete nightmare this evening. Made it up to Paul's and we were both brimming with confidence that changing brake pads after doing the differential last night would be a complete walk in the park. Started on the front driver side caliper and after an hour and 20 minutes we gave up as the pins just wouldn't come out with none of the other calipers even attempted. Phoned Spooks halfway through to seek his professional advice, then phoned Paul's dad (ex-helicopter engineer) and the advice was the same - WD40 and just hit it. Never worked though. So going to book it in and get someone professional to do it. I feel rather defeated.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow as then I can go up to my mates and we'll get them done. Otherwise I'll do it myself this weekend. I'm planning my slowing down carefuly as they've got pretty bad quite quickly there!

EBC Reds again John. Can't complain about them at all and this will be my 3rd or 4th set (on the front anyway). I know a few people don't like them and some people used to go through them more often than hot dinners back but I guess they suit my driving style. I've got 18K+ out of this last set but with only 1 trackday mind you.

Cheers chaps. 2005 WRX is 2 pot rears so sounds like everything should be alright. They never arrived today though so fingers crossed for tomorrow. So this evening's entertainment instead consisted of the reinstallation of a diff into a westfield. Great fun! I think the only thing I'll need to pickup then is some copper slip as my mate has run out he thinks.

Going to be doing this hopefully today or tomorrow if my pads arrive. Any special or weird tools required for it. Will be doing it at my mates garage which is well stocked but just thought I'd have a quick check. Cheers

Who gives a damn how fast your car gets to 70? You do! (I also do) Who cares how loud their car is? People who like that! That's the point see? But as I said - you can't have both.

What's the point of a car that can do more than 70mph when you can only really use it on track? It's horses for courses. Big audio is not for me, but it's for some people. My point is that you can't mix them all together - ungainly bodykits + big ice + performance mods = a champion turd.
