  1. Took this at Doune today as the stickers on my mates westie. Got loads of "what's that" questions from people too which was really good news. Anyway, the picture:
  2. The sponges are always nice and yellow and never seen lying on the ground either.
  3. This thread didn't turn out to be nearly as entertaining as I hoped it might
  4. I'm always surprised by Nicola's ability to clutchless and flat shift her Matiz. Colin, did it have THE wheels on it when you let her out? Is she aware of their irreplaceability?
  5. Johnny, I couldn't find the subwoofers either.
  6. £4 Imy? They seen you coming alright. The places I've gone to have been great. One of them tried to wipe out the crease in my front wing. He could have been there quite a while, but I didn't know the Polish for "I hit a barrel on the shawhead flyover and it's buggered that wing Pal".
  7. Ye cannae beat it! They might be illegal immigrants, but I'm not one to cast aspersions. They do a mean job of getting the inch thick covering of flies off my bumpers and mirrors.
  8. Colin, what does she normally drive? Is she used to a) turbo lag b ) brakes the size of a sky dish c) more than 100bhp?
  9. Did they include the website address?
  10. Yes, but we all (and I'm sure I've been guilty of this too) have the great ability to make a drama out of nothing.
  11. There's too many toys out of the pram threads for my liking!
  12. Looking good Peter. Well done to Wilky for getting a chapmanism in too. I always like - "Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere."
  13. She's pretty alright. Will she be getting a wee run up the hill this weekend then?
  14. Did they not ask you to tidy it up afterwards given your abilities? I got the rally thing for my 21st off my mates (6 years ago!). I had a 1.8 Vectra Club SE at the time which could only have had less front end grip if I'd replaced the tyres with blocks of ice, which given their 7000 mile range was an option I did investigate. So getting my first taste in a non FWD car that wasn't an underpowered merc owned by my dad was quite enjoyable. It's only when you buy a Subaru and take it out on your favourite road that you get the real thrill of speed though. Then the value for money thing - I'd certainly have been pissed if I'd paid for it myself. It was 4 runs up and 3 runs down, with a final run down with the instructor in the seat. That alone was possibly worth the money in my case as he was easily the nutteriest of the bunch that day that I had. Quality liberal use of the handbrake.
  15. Nice one Jim, although I prefer the volks, but a spare track set can't hurt eh? Black with the red pinstripe on the white car will look the dogs danglies. White on white would just be toooooo white.
  16. I didn't know the GB270 came with LSDs. Oh well, good choice anyway
  17. I've done the rallying one. Loved it at the time but on reflection it was far too short and not nearly as good as a trackday. The circuit one with the tuition sounds like it would be much better.
  18. There's white, and then there's white. Oh and then there's white.
  19. Wouldn't get much change out of a grand for that aye? If you really want something cool then it's got to be:
  20. http://jpcnews.blogspot.com/2008/06/coswor...system-for.html Sure some of the more exhubriant drivers out there would be interested in that.
  21. The existance of the Toyota/Subaru coupe development is not in any doubt. But to agree with pmac - Auto Express is the sun or daily sport of the car press. How they can get away with some of their stories is beyond me.
  22. Lack of a rear wing + earlier denial of a GB270 make me think no. However, was the a-line available in anything other than silver. If so was the euro equivalent of the spec-d available in non silver - me think it was?
  23. I'm going to go with a WRX STI A-Line then Zeo. Jap import?
  24. It's utterly outstanding that picture. I'm hoping to swing things at work in the next few weeks and confirm my attendance as it's gonna be an utterly cracking weekend.
