  1. Pictures Only a Carrera GT, an Enzo and an SLR. Cheap German and Italian muck
  2. Perhaps the saloons just don't handle as well as the hatches. It's a company car certainly, and I've only driven it later in its life, but my colleague has had it since new and he says it's always been the same. Oh and it has no brakes either
  3. I hope the new one can get its arse out at the hairpin at KH as well as the old one.
  4. I was going to ask if it at least bought you dinner first Sharon?
  5. Nordschleife - the North Loop - of the Nurburgring. See here for more info. Sharon, with some canny engineering can you not extract said turbo from said white van and put it in a certain green scooby?
  6. It was funny Chris. I would have laughed. They better have sorted the roads out on my way home tonight or I'll no be chuffed.
  7. Those are the traditional names. Taylors/the hairpin is now known as "The Real Radio Hairpin". Is Duffus not "The Seat Curves", and McIntyres "Glenvargil"? You may also refer to duffus as "Brown trouser hill". I know I do.
  8. Ian, might I just say that your profile image cracks me right up. I near wet myself when I saw it for the first time.
  9. It's easy to do craig, PM me your email address and I'll forward you on the tools when I get home.
  10. Sitting up on the overpass. Probably not speed, but be careful out there. Also don't go anywhere near M74/M73 junction or the Raith Interchange, unless you like sitting in endless queues.
  11. I spotted it on Saturday and was very impressed. Loving that rear wing. Must say I never noticed the wheels on Saturday, but I wish I had. Are they Volk? The stickers are definetly on the cards for mine. I'll need to have a think what brands I want and get in touch with Ricey about it. Just the ones down the door or on the skirts to see if I like it. Going for that Japanese street weapon look.
  12. Rather coincidentally me and Gordy were talking to him and he was telling us about it. He asked Gordy to take him out in the WR1, and as they headed out I headed for the batmobile to get out too. And a lap later I was in the kitty litter.
  13. It does look decent. The old focus steadily grew on me from "I hate it" to "you know, I quite like it actually". But I'd still not have one. One of my colleagues at work has a focus saloon TDI as his company car and it is without question the worst handling car I've ever driven. Worse than the punto that had suspension so shoddy that I almost rolled it on three seperate occasions when driving normally. Worse than a renault laguna estate that had done 130 thousand miles on original shocks. It doesn't so much as oversteer but not actually steer at all. Once it has rolled about 3 feet and finally catches it then lurches about all over the shop. Then when you roll back out you have to watch for the weight to transfer all the way over to the other side, then back again and so forth for the next few seconds. You better just hope there's not another corner coming up.
  14. Well done corsa. We need to have a whip round and get you a group N impreza though. Otterburn, that name still cracks me up.
  15. Not a bad price at all Dave. I must have a look at my discs and see how they're coping, but I know I'll be needing new pads sooner rather than later. Out of interest - the Prodrive 294mm Front Disc Upgrade - is this just prodrive's grooved/drilled discs and nothing else? Oh and Iknow they're STI ones and not WRX ones, but a good price is a good price.
  16. Wireless router + 2.0 firmware. I made a thread many months ago now that I posted using the PSP just after the 2.0 firmware came out. I've now downgraded back to 1.5 for the cough cough ahem ahem reasons.
  17. Any you chaps down there when I had my sidewards jaunt?
  18. How much bigger is the STI scoop. I can't say I've ever noticed when my cars been next to an STI that they're different.
  19. I do enjoy McIntyres. I get that one right more often than not. Clark still confuses the hell out of me. Duffus will forever go down in my mind as the closest I've came to meeting my maker. Other than once getting a Punto on two wheels, and not being able to steer into it due to a feckin' big truck coming the other way. Courtesy car though, so it was all good.
  20. I wish I could buy lower suspension, but it would mean walking half a mile into one of the places I work as I'd not be able to clear the speed bumps.
  21. Jammers are illegal. On a completley unrelated manner - I hear these automatic garage door openners are good. A nudge is as good as a wink to a bald man. Or something like that
  22. I downgraded my Jap one that I'd put the 2.0 firmware on. It's now back at 1.5. Only so I can use emulators of course. I don't condone piracy.
  23. Dorikin - is brake Judder a technical term? I full understand what you mean though. Scott, your car was looking, sounding, and moving very nicely yesterday. You're a brave man to let Dunc take it out. Admiral, near the end of the day you managed the most outstanding drift round McIntyres. I was just coming down duffus, pointing the right way that time I may add, and noticed your car pointing in all sorts of wrong directions. It was great to watch.
