  1. Ah "pressing on". Everyone's got a word for it. Since the 25th of september I'm averaging 22.6mpg, including that track day. I've got a handy wee spreadsheet for recording it. That reminds me to not drive on boost everywhere. Except I just ignore it and drive it like I'm the unknown stuntman when conditions permit.
  2. If you have a GT3 save you can carry money over from it, and if you have a GT4rologue save you can carry over some licences, which is what I did. Still not replaced my broken copy yet, and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 arrived this morning and my brother has no doubt been getting in some serious practice at it, so I'll need to go home and still cuff him at it.
  3. Andy, I'm hoping my SSQV lands on my door today, and if I can't fit it today then some help tomorrow from the tool carrying members would be good.
  4. Chris mentioned something about going up after 10 for those only on the afternoon session, but I'm on all day.
  5. Depends what time you're heading up at really. I'm meeting Gordy at the waste ground in Kincardine at 7:30, so if you want to arrange something in Glasgow to coincide with that.
  6. At worst we can just meet at AWD and get some photos there surely? And just talk pish with everyone for a few hours.
  7. John usually sends out an email about it, but no sign of it yet. You'll get some forms with that which you'll need to fill in and bring with you. You'll also need your driving licence. Briefing should start at 8:30 for the early starters. You should wear long sleeves too as you can't get on with short ones. It'll no doubt be feckin' cold on an October day at Knockhill anyhoo. If you've not got your own helmet you can get one at the circuit. Tyre pressures - I run mine a few PSI higher than manufacturer recommendations. But I do that on the road anyway.
  8. Great result! Just desserts for them really. What's the lesson then kids - never convert a 4wd car to RWD only.
  9. Bing, if you're on full day or the morning then we'll be meeting at 7:30 at the wasteground/bathe before the Kincardine bridge, or 7:25 in the shell station at the bowtrees for lashings of Optimax no doubt!
  10. Wow. I stand corrected. Goes to show you how good these nomex linings are.
  11. Hypertech give the cars to Progrip in Bonnybridge for the geometery to be done. The did mine and I have no complaints. Also CLCM in Edinburgh.
  12. The second one is definetly fatal. I've spotted it on other sites and what not, and its always listed as fatal.
  13. I got it for 98 earlier too. Thems the breaks.
  14. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Tasty. Pictures here But here's one for a teaser.
  15. Can you imagine actually driving the ring in a ~6 minute car? You'd need a trailer attached to the back for your cojones as you'd need massive ones to do it
  16. Does anyone else find the lines just don't line up to what you have left? When mine says 1/2 a tank it really means 2/3 of a tank left, and when it's at 1/4 it's not really, but then below a quarter it seems to drop very steeply until the light comes on. Also, what does the light tell you? Is it 10litres? Mine is obscured behind my R-Vit so I keep having to peek round to see it if I get near the end.
  17. PLAMF! I salute you in your quest to use such a fabulous word oobster.
  18. It's not GT4 but I have some sub 6 minute laps on Project gotham 2 in the TVR Speed 12, and some very very low 6 laps with a 911 GT1 (le mans car). I really need to get a replacement GT4 disc as I've been craving some racing action.
  19. One boy walked away, but the other one certainly didn't.
  20. You want a real con like what my cousin has. He has a works "van". It just so happens that said van is a pickup truck fitted with an 8.3 litre V10 that will keep up with an STI 0-60 more than comfortably. Feck all Tax and no VAT. Not so good on the old petrol though.
  21. The benefits of a phone that synchronises with your PC. Well worth the investment.
  22. I get 220 miles on £40-£45 worth of petrol. I don't ever let it get below 15l usually. I'm averaging 23mpg it seems.
  23. I'm sure you've all seen the guys in Dubai, or the middle east somewhere, that were doing it on public roads in conditions MUCH less controlled than these. Particularly with spectators lining the roads. Theres a video that I can't decide if its fake or not, but he collects a spectator rather badly.
  24. I'd say an arse for doing it on public roads normally, but he clearly knows what he's doing. I'd love to have a drift machine, nice black hachi roku or an S15.
